Finally Got the Call

My guide called to tell us the contract at BWV became available today! We were only on the wait list for a week. (314 points) Is this unusual? We were going back and forth about SSR or waiting for BCV or BWV and before we even knew it, BWV is ours!

We do have two separate contracts, which Mario (guide) told us was a non- issue since they are the same use year. Is this correct? Just making sure before we take the 29,000 plunge.

So excited to be (almost) a DVC member!

Your decision to split your points into 2 smaller contracts is a good one, and no problem for Disney, since they can sell points in any size contract. You will find that, in the event you want to sell some points, smaller contracts are relatively easy to sell. Hope you enjoy BWV as much as we do!

Yes it is also better to have 2 smaller contracts incase you decide to get ride of one and keep the other and do an add-on at a newer resort.

We kicked around the idea of BWV but with the F&F savings and the 12 extra years we couldn't pass up on SSR. We also love DTD so it works real good.

Thanks for the warm welcome! We have only been on the waiting list for a week with Disney, we were also on the list with the Timeshare Store, but did not hear from them.

I am so surprised that it happened so fast. Isn't that a bit quick? It seems that I read many posts about the long waits for BVC and BWV.

I can make ressies starting Monday they said!

We were waiting for any use year. We wound up with August, which is good since we travel during the summer.

We were only on the list for a little over a week.

We just got our paperwork for our 40 pt BWV add on yesterday. DH and I signed by the Mickey's and they're headed back today!!! We were on the wait list since mid August, so I'd say your timing was pretty good.
