Still waiting! It snowed a couple of inches last night, and in Arkansas that's enough to close almost everything down. I was really surprised to hear from my adoption specialist today that she made it to work. However, she doesn't think she'll have everything ready until tomorrow. This wait is torture! I know she's doing the best she can because she has adopted herself and knows how hard it is, but it's still rough on us. Until we get to meet her, I won't feel like it's a "done deal."

She called me this afternoon and had our disclosure paperwork ready, so I made a trip out to go get it. We just finished reading and have already sent her an email that we're ready to proceed. Hopefully we'll be able to set up a meeting this week!

We finally got to meet her today! Three weeks and one day after first getting the call, we got to meet with her for about an hour today. It went great, and she seemed very excited about being adopted. We know there will be some challenges along the way, but we think she will fit in great with our family. The professionals looking out for her want to take it kind of slow, so it's doubtful she'll get to go to WDW with us next week. That's a real bummer, but we want to do what's best for her, of course. I told my husband that just means we're going to have to go again real soon!
