After being back for a month, I FINALLY got my Polynesian pictures on my own web site. Also, I have a new site (in case anyone has my site saved). It used to be home.comcast.net/~terry527 but by DH just registered www.brownfamilyvacations.com for me and moved my site over to there. The old one still exists, but doesn't have the latest pics on it.

Enjoy!

And yes, I still have to add the restaurant, Epcot, Segway pics, etc! :)

Thanks for sharing. They're wonderful! It's amazing how much taller your boys are now compared to the 2001 family photos!

Poohbush: I know, I can't believe how much they've changed! :earseek: I'm glad you enjoyed the pictures :)

SnowWitch: We thought that song would be a great theme song for our "family vacations" web site. :earboy2:

Terry,

I just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed your vacation pictures. Until recently, I spent my summer vacations in North Wildwood. We still visit several times a year.

Just today I told my DH that we know nothing about our computer. I can't imagine how you get your pictures and all the info on the website.

I look forward to seeing your Epcot pictures and all your future vacation pics.

Thanks,
Kathy

What a wonderful way to share your trip! I love it. Wish I was more computer literate!!

And by the way, Thank you so much for sharing your anniversary cake pictures in the food thread. I ordered a special cake for DH & I for our anniversary in late July and it was fabulous!! A work of art, and yes it tasted fantastic as well. We got to speak to one of the chefs the next day, and she explained how they did the banner and those beautiful roses. Then just this week, when I was ordering my birthday cake for our next trip, I got to talk to one of the chefs that did the cake. It was great. And she is going to be doing my birthday cake. So I can't wait to see what she does. Keep in mind I am a "Pooh fanatic". And she said she was gonna do something special.

Thanks again,
Winnie

Oh, that was fun! Thanks for sharing! I especially loved the Polynesian pictures. I can't wait to return in November! :) I loved your Mickey shirts. How in the world did you ever convince your teenage boys to wear them? :)

LOL! I told them they only had to wear them to dinner, over the t-shirt of their choice, then they could take them off. They're pretty good sports, they tend to humor their mom with these kinds of things :earboy2:

Terry,
Lucky you! My kids aren't into humoring me...they are more into shaking their head, especially when it comes to Disney World. They think I can go a bit overboard.

Another question for you...where are you originally from down the shore? We grew up on the ocean in Seaside Park. My grandmother had a little place, and my father has a house on Barnegat Bay. That's the only thing I miss about NJ.

Luv your website. I keep going back to the main page so I can listen to the song :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cool1: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Thanks for taking the time to post.

(Holiday Road...ohhhhhh....holiday road.....ohhhhhhh) :rockband:

I so enjoy looking at your pictures. You guys always look like you're having a great time. Thanks for sharing.

Susie: I am from Toms River, and still go back several times a year! In fact, I'll be heading back down there in about 10 days :sunny:

WDW Poly Princess: Boutiki is on the left, when you enter the GCH from the front entrance :) *Very* cute shop, but I was disappointed in the selection of Polynesian logo merchandise. I got a magnet, but it has Lilo & Stitch on it. (Nothing against Lilo and Stitch, but I want a POLYNESIAN RESORT MAGNET, not one with movie characters on it). I got a ceramic coffee mug. It's oversized, which is nice, and has the Polynesian logo on one side, and a sketch of the resort on the other side, and on the bottom there is a paragraph which tells about the resort. I have this same exact mug from the Grand Floridian too, but the GF's version is nicer, the Polynesian mug's colors look faded or something. :confused3 That is all that I bought with the Polynesian name on it. I *wanted* to get a t-shirt, sweatshirt, etc, etc. They had very plain white shirts with the name Polynesian printed in light blue, but had very limited sizes. And that was it. No sweatshirts, either. I had wanted a t-shirt AND sweatshirt that was embroidered with the Polynesian name/logo. I guess they've done away with these items there :confused3 At the Wilderness Lodge there was a TON of excellent logo merchandise to choose from. I got the COOLEST ceramic coffee mug from there. It looks like a hollow log, has the WL logo on one side, and the handle is the character totem pole that's in the lobby. :sunny: And I got a gorgeous, very soft, nubby type sweatshirt with the WL logo embroidered on it.

Ok, enough rambling about the shop. lol :teeth: But I know Disney reads these boards, so I'd like them to know I would've, and wanted to, spend a lot more money on Polynesian souvenirs! lol And I did mention it to the CMs at the store, too. I think this is my one and only "complaint" about the Polynesian resort! :earboy2:

Ah hah! Thanks- I couldn't figure out where they had put the new gift shop! Where you described makes sense, though.

I'm always disappointed at the lack of Polynesian Resort merchandice, too! They have a lot of cute Lilo & Stitch stuff, and general tropical stuff, but not much Polynesian. We want to give you money, Disney, give us the chance! ;)

Ooh- I forgot to ask- are the two old gift shops still there? (News from Civilization, and the one upstairs?) It seems weird that they would have 3 shops now! (and still no stuff!)

I agree that WL has a much better selection! I found the cutest WL shirt there last time (which I then ended up leaving in my room, but mousekeeping never found, but that's a whole other story!), and always see a ton of things I want to buy.

One thing I'd like to see is more postcards of the Polynesian- I know WL has several different views of the lodge on postcards, but I can only think of one Poly one (other than the ones that come free in the rooms.) And I'll stop now before this turns into a gift shop stuff thread! ;)

Thank you!!! After looking at your wonderful pictures I am going to order a cake. It is our 30th wedding anniversary and I am going to surprise my DH. We cant wait to go. Again you make these boards so special to all of us who have never stayed at the Poly. Thank You again.

Aleatha :earsgirl:
