Finally getting to see the lights! Nov '11 Anniversary/Holiday/F&W PTR-New 11/4 p50

Love all the fun outings in July. Someday I hope to make it up to the northeast, told DH it's my goal to hit all 50 states someday.

The boys look like they were having a great time at the ballgames. :thumbsup2

Hope you have a relaxing August! We start back to school on the 19th and I'm starting to panic that summer is almost over. Not ready yet for homework and such. ;)

I just saw your pictures and they remind me so much of when my boys were that age. I feel like I have some of the exact same poses but I can't post them because they were taken during the pre-digital age.

My DH just told me that he thinks he can get a long weekend end off from work (we had no real summer vacation) so I am thinking about coming to NH August 26th weekend. Not sure yet, but I really want to. Thanks for reminding me how much I love the White Mountains!

:cool1: It's so peaceful & beautiful up there - I hope it works out for you to get up there this summer. You will have a great time.

I'm all caught up on your PTR! I almost finished yesterday at work but ran out of time, stupid work getting in the way. :lmao:

Your plans sound great so far, I love the outfits for the photo shoot. I have to start thinking about that more for Marc & I. I'm so jealous you are going at Christmas time, I really need to plan a trip so I can see everything!

:welcome: Hi Leslie!! The photo shoot should be fun - it's a first for us. I thought it was an appropriate first for an anniversary trip.

Goodness, I think you must have been on the go the entire month!!! Lots of fun was had, though! Love the sign about Hit My Dad! :lmao: Oh, and the staring contest -- Chelsea and Connor do that all the time when they are bored.

We've had a lot of fun this summer & the baseball game was definitely a highlight!

It looks like you've been having lots of fun this summer Amy! :) Time for a little downtime? ;) lol!!

Hopefully we'll find some down time... we didn't do a very good job this weekend!

You should definitely visit New England in either the summer or fall... unless you like to ski, then the winter can be fun too. The spring can be pretty but it's usually pretty muddy! We never quite know when spring will show up.

I'm not sure I'm ready for school yet either...

Thanks everyone!!!

Can you tell I was rushing to post before I ran out the door this morning... Single Digits... :rolleyes1 I wish!!! Actually I'd be in a bit of a panic right now if that were the case. But I have three more months until single digits. :thumbsup2

Like many other DISers, I like to break down my to-do list into smaller increments to make it more manageable. Here are the items I have planned to get done in July & August and my progress:

July/August:
To Buy:
• Order pins from ebay - DONE
• Order new Guide to the Magic for Alex - DONE
• Final payment due in August - DONE :cool1:
• Buy Earplanes for the boys
• Buy outfits for photo session – DONE – still need sandals for me
• Buy sunscreen on sale
• Buy more Body Glide - DONE
• Buy pick-a-pearl setting – been looking – have a question out to the seller
• Buy glow sticks
• New washable markers for the boys
• Sharpies
• Figure out MVMCP shirts/hats (can get at DTD X-mas shop)

To Make:
• Work on Alex’s “rules”/Self Help card
• Start working on kids ID cards
• Work on Touring Plans - making good progress
• Work on packing Lists
• Plan surprise - working on this
• Create surprise/itinerary books - started
• Mousekeeping Envelopes (2)
• Confirm ME
• Work on travel kits

I've been working on our touring plans & putting them on MRYPPNS-style touring cards. :thumbsup2 I hope to share them with you soon.

Rebooked our flight down to Tampa on the 5th AGAIN for another credit with Southwest!! It was only $34 ($8.50 each) but now we're up to $286 to use toward our tickets in April. :thumbsup2

Now we each have two credits - one from the day after I originally booked the tickets and another from today. That gives us a total of eight credits. Can't you only use three at a time? I want to use them on our April return flights (because I know those won't go down after booking). Will I be able to use all eight if I buy all four of our tickets at once? :confused3

It looks like your summer has been as busy as mine! Some downtime will be nice. ;) I'm in a little lull right now....2 weeks at home before 2 more weekend camping trips. I love summer!

A game at Fenway...how exciting for the boys! :yay:

Hi Amy!:goodvibes

Popping in to say Hi!:wave2: It looks like you have had a busy but fun summer. I've enjoyed looking at your pictures!:goodvibes We've been keeping busy here as well. I can't believe how fast summer is flying by.....:sad2:

It looks like your summer to-do list is coming along great!:thumbsup2

We were just talking about whether we want to go camping again at all this summer... not sure we're up to it this year! We usually take a quick one or two night trip to a local spot just to get away & enjoy the outdoors. I think we might hit a waterpark/amusement park next weekend & maybe take in another minor league baseball game.

I know... it is flying by! It's hard to believe we only have four more weekends before school starts (including this one).

Hope you are having a fun summer too!!

I love SWA credit - that is awesome. Every little bit counts.

You are really making good progress on your "to do" list.

BTW - I don't know if I am going to cancel or not, but I booked a end of summer promo at Waterville Valley for 3 nights at the end of August. It's a condo that sleeps 6 and it includes mountain biking, golf, canoeing/kayaking, and a chairlift ride. The package was extremely reasonable. Of course, I want to get to the flume and possibly Mt Washington if the weather is nice enough to drive up. Am I crazy???? I live 460 miles away. So it really only gives me two days in the area.

Sounds like a busy weekend but not crazy! Mount Washington could take a chunk of time but the Flume only took us a little over an hour. Sounds like a lot of what you'll do is at the resort so you won't have to waste a lot of time driving from place to place. I hope you decide to go!!
