Finally getting to see the lights! Nov '11 Anniversary/Holiday/F&W PTR-New 11/4 p50

That is only be cause you haven't met my charming wife and daughter yet....they would definitely be in the top 15. Of course the fact that I'm there too would bump us back down.....;)

:rotfl:

OK - that's strange... not sure how I managed to post this reply before you posted your comment! :confused3

You were #16! You just missed the cut! ;)

That is only be cause you haven't met my charming wife and daughter yet....they would definitely be in the top 15. Of course the fact that I'm there too would bump us back down.....;)

Next weekend will be fairly busy on Saturday with soccer winding down but I'll be able to get Tim to help out with the electronics & making sure we have videos & games loaded where the need to be.

• Program addresses into GPS (Jeff’s new address & BWV)
• Clean Frog Tank
• Clean Gerbil Cage
• Stop Mail & Paper
• Make sure park tickets are packed!
• Pick up balloons (mylar so they stay filled overnight)

That's it for now!

pixiedust: for Zach to pass his blue belt.

That is a great time for a flight. That way you are not getting up in the middle of night like we usually do.;) But on Wed. Jeff & I have a 10:30 flight so that will be great. I am still so curious how Southwest will be compared to Jet Blue. I will find out on Wed.:)

You must be so anxious for the big reveal. I know I would be barely able to contain myself!!:)

Thanks Doreen!

Did you buy early bird check-in? If not, make sure you check in right at the 24 mark. A few seconds makes a difference. As long as you get a "B" boarding group, you should be OK to get seats together. I would recommend you buy it for your flight home. It seems most people do so they don't have to bother with trying to check in at 24 hours when they are on vacation.

You will LOVE the ease of flying out of Manchester!! :thumbsup2 I think the JetBlue planes are better though.

Two weeks from today we’ll enjoy our first full day in Florida! :cool1:

We’ll be visiting Jeff & Karen (Tim’s brother & his long-time girlfriend) as well as J & K our nephew (19) & niece (16). Jeff & Karen just moved to a new condo so we’ll be seeing that for the first time. After attempting outings on the last couple of trips, (aquarium & Busch Gardens), we’ve decided to just hang out at their condo, swim in their pool, maybe play a little basketball & just enjoy each other’s company. The kids probably enjoyed doing these things more than the outings in the past so we’re going to save ourselves the money and aggravation and just relax! Tim, Jeff & J may go golfing on Sunday or Monday morning. I need to remember to make a tee time... you can only make them 5 days ahead. They have some great inexpensive public courses down there!

We’ll also pick up a few groceries while we’re there. I am still having a Garden Grocer order delivered so we don’t have to worry about transporting cold things & bulky beverages. We usually buy a styrofoam cooler & bring our left over groceries with us. We leave it in our car while we hit our first park, before checking in at our resort. But this time, if our room isn't ready, we'll have to dump our luggage with bell services so we can return our rental car. I don't want to have a ton of loose grocery bags. We may bring just a few things that we can contain easily but I placed a garden grocer order for most of the things we'll need while we're there. I'm having water, juice, milk, soda & some snacks delivered.

Now off to rework our itinerary for April... ADRs coming up starting on Tuesday morning!

Two weeks from today... we'll pretty much be doing the same thing I posted about yesterday! More hanging out with Jeff & the gang. This will be our last day with them so I'm sure I'll spend some time with the washing machine & packing up our things. We'll have to pack up better than we usually do when we leave them because we'll probably have to store our luggage at BWV since we'll be getting there so early & our room will most likely not be ready.

Since I don't have much to write about today, I thought I'd share the souvenir coupons I created for the boys:

We'll give them an opportunity to earn at least one coupon while we are at Jeff's so they can get a souvenir the first day at Disney. Then they will have the opportunity to earn another one each day that we are there. Hopefully it will help us carry out our master plan & keep their behavior in check. :thumbsup2

Come back tomorrow to hear about my first ADR for April (I guess I really have to get that itinerary finished today) & our plans for our first Disney day!!

Love Love Love the coupons!!! What a great idea.:thumbsup2

And thanks for the heads up on no rope at Epcot. I hope that is the case when we get there. I cannot believe we leave Wed. It seems surreal.

Just catching up from over the weekend, fell behind with my DISing.

Can't wait for the big reveal! :goodvibes

Just hanging out @ Jeff & Karen's sounds like a nice relaxing start to the vaca plus it will give the boys a chance to acclimate to the "real" vaca rather than Dad's boring business trip. ;)

Bell Services can store refrigerated items too if you need it while waiting for your room to be ready.

Best of luck on the ADRs for tomorrow!

Cute idea on the coupons!!! Are you giving them a price limit? My two would definitely need a price limit on their coupons.

Hi Anne Marie! We're looking forward to just hanging out this year.

We are planning on storing a couple things that need refrigeration with bell services I just don't want to deal with storing ALL of the groceries we usually buy. We usually look like hillbillies rolling up to our resort with everything from suitcases to little grocery bags. I want to avoid that!

Yes - I think a price limit will be in order & maybe they can combine two if they want something bigger.

Two weeks from today will be Tuesday 11/8. Disney check-in day!! :cool1: We’ll get up at Jeff & Karen’s, finish packing up & head to Orlando!! Jeff is leaving on a business trip to Las Vegas today too so it will be a bit hectic! Our plan is to be on the road by 9:00, getting us to BWV by 11:15 or so. We’ll check in at BWV & probably have to leave our luggage with bell services. We’ll have to make sure we repack our luggage well as we usually have lots of loose items just thrown in the van when we leave Jeff’s. This time we won’t be keeping our rental, we’ll have to return it by 1:30ish (or before the time we rented it on Saturday). Assuming our room isn’t ready, we’ll unload, stop at the concierge desk to deal with ticket stuff (activate my AP, pick up MVMCP tickets, get anniversary pins) take the rental over to the Dolphin then head to DHS!! We may eat at the Boardwalk (Boardwalk To Go) or at DHS. When our room is ready, we’ll head back to BWV and get settled. Our Garden Grocer order should be there when we get back too. After freshening up, we’ll be off to Epcot for dinner at Teppan Edo & maybe a few rides. We probably won’t stay for Illuminations but I hope we can at least catch a glimpse from our balcony!

In other news, this morning I made our first ADR for our April trip. Chef Mickey's for dinner! :thumbsup2

Up next: 10 days to go!!

Oh, you are getting so close Amy! I know you have to be getting excited as I am and I still have 23 days to go!

Love the souvie coupons! What a neat idea.

Congrats on Chef Mickey's! Isn't it exciting to made ADR's.

I'd love to hear about your F&W faves! I'm guessing something slushy might be on the list?? :rolleyes1

I'd have to say my favorites were the shrimp on the barbie from Australia and the lamington cake from there. The mahi mahi from Brazil was awesome. The pot stickers from China, the cheese soup from Canada, the pretzel roll from germany the sausage w/ it was good too. The pumpkin mousse and Cherry Wheat Ale from Hops and Barely. Matt also loved the canoli from Italy and the lava cake from Ireland. He also enjoyed the Leffe beer from Belgium going in the morning when the food is fresh hot is perfect we hardly had any lines in the evening they seemd to have a back-up w/ the popular items.

I have to say I did get a grey Goose...but it was sub par to the ones in Jan

Thanks Doreen!

I have to say that we did NOT do early bird for either flight and even though I was in w/ in the first 10 for group B each time...it was pure luck and then last row of plane to be together...so may pre boards and family boarding...we polan to purchase the early bird i think for jan...I think even if you check in right at the 24 hr mark the A group is gone to the early birds... :headache:

love the countdown Amy...can't believe it is basically 2 weeks away :cool1: I will have to share on FB-Spectrum Mom's a few sneak peeks I caught for the Holidays... the coupon is :thumbsup2 too

We did pay for early bird check in. I was nervous where we had not flown Southwest before so I figured where it was just 2 tickets I would go for it.

:banana::banana: For 11 Days!!! :dance3::dance3:

I will catch up when we get back. We fly in around 9:30 pm on Saturday night so on Sunday I will be on here catching up.
