We’ll probably eat breakfast at Sunshine Seasons on Saturday. We've done that before & really enjoyed it.

Up next: Our Magic Kingdom favorites!!

First off, I love your dress! We did white on everyone for our photoshoot (and let them be a bit flexible on the bottoms) and I was really pleased with how it worked out.

Your Epcot plans look great, I swear, it doesn't' matter how long a trip is, there is never enough time in Epcot!

I had emailed him (he's working late tonight) some boat shoes to look at then followed up with an email that the DIS friends don't approve so he can ignore that email! :rotfl:

Hopefully he'll like the flip flop idea - I just think it will look beachier than sneakers... if we even see his feet in the pictures!

:lmao: hahaha this totally cracked me up...does Tim know who you are talking about when you say Julie or Heidi as in you don't need the DIS-claimer ;) you guys make final vote on alot of our trip thoughts

Hate to break it to Heidi and Julie but boat shoes are IN big time.

well don't tell our hubbies...:rotfl:

re EP picks...very fun to be so close to your fav park, that's how i feel about BLT  as usual I love all that you have picked...to bad we're not going together...we could put Bekah and Alex on Ellen's and come back an hour later to get them ;)

I was telling Nathan and matt about Club Cool the kids have never been...but not about awful/tasty Beverly :rolleyes1 that's now on our EP list for Jan.

and we'll have to try this gaki gori stuff

can't wait to see the new designs/displays for F&W too...

I think by focusing on the big stuff as GOALS all te little things as extras will help keep your touring organized and not so zig-zagging on little time :thumbsup2

I also have to remember the phones...

oh and have you done the pick a pearl thing before? I may want to try that in Oct...

I agree with Cynthia that no matter how long the trip is, there is never enough time to do everything at Epcot! Such a fun park! Your plans look great and it looks like you will be able to fit in all the really good stuff! :thumbsup2

Hey Amy. I just got all caught up.

I think it it wise that you are not doing a split stay. Where it is a short trip you will not take up time by switching resorts.

Love the idea of the photo session and I love the dress you bought!:thumbsup2

Great news about your airline tickets going down. I need to check ours for Oct.

Great idea about Family Fued. I love all the favorites that were mentioned.

I need to get back to the Disney store in Manchester. I love the T shirts you got.

Glad I am all caught up. Now I need to check airfare...

Does Nick wear a uniform to school? One of my friends buys a lot of clothes for her daughter from Lands End. She goes to a private school that requires uniforms. I think the sale is still going on. :thumbsup2

Yes. He does. The Landsend stuff was optional until this year. Basically it was a dress code which required regular dresspants (no jeans), belt, and either a long sleeve tailored dress shirt or a golf-type shirt (whatever they are called). No writing, no sports logos, no tee shirts, no pull over type shirts. I guess people were always pushing the envelope and they opted for "uniforms". I will admit, I don't even feel like ordering and paying for new clothes. His pants are all worn out (usually I just buy the $10 kahkies from walmart), so I don't mind that, but he has tons of cute school shirts that he can't wear anymore. ugghhhhhhh! I am in denial. I told him he is getting 3 shirts and 3 pairs of pants. :rotfl: Of course, I am the only one who will suffer for that because I will constantly be doing wash. Better rethink that.:rolleyes1

I'll be back to read your last update when I can "see" your pictures!

Thanks Cynthia! There is definitely way too much to see at Epcot. I'm feeling a bit better about our plans now that I'm planning to pop in for snacks here & there.

Yes - Tim would know who "Julie" or "Heidi" are! Maybe not so much before our January trip but he definitely knows who you all are now. :thumbsup2

I told Tim about putting Alex & Bekah on Ellen together - he thought that was funny!

You definitley need to go to Club Cool & the Kaki Gori stand in Japan. ::yes::

I've never done pick-a-pearl. I was thinking about it in January but thought the kids, especially Zach, would like to see me do it.

Hi Jackie! I'm hoping we can squeeze a lot in but not feel like we are squeezing it in!

This made me laugh. Too cute!

I'm a mean mommy... I didn't warn him about Beverly!

The split stay idea was a crazy one! I'm happy with our plans the way they are. BWV or BCV - Both are fantastic resorts!

We still need to plan that Disney store DISmeet! ;)

I'll be back to read your last update when I can "see" your pictures!

That stinks! There's definitely something to be said about a dress code & uniforms but it's too bad they are changing it up on you.

My next update is going to be about our Magic Kingdom plans. But half of our Magic Kingdom time will be during MVMCP. I haven't done all that much research about the party so I'm hoping you can fill me in on all the things we should do & see while we're there!

For those of you who have been, what were your favorite parts?

For those of you who haven't been, what have you heard about that we shouldn't miss?

:santa: Visiting Santa and putting our letters in his mailbox. (an MK thing, not just a MVMCP thing)

:santa: Meeting the Dwarfs!

I'd probably say the parade too.... if I'd actually seen it. :headache:

Great suggestions Tracy! I remember reading about your kids putting letters in Santa's mailbox in your TR but had completely forgotten! Maybe I'll suggest the boys write their letters on the airplane since they won't know about the trip until we are on our way!

I'd love to meet the Dwarfs but I'm not sure the rest of the gang will be up for the wait. :confused3

The parade incident... :sad2:

Hmm....Let's see....

Cookies & hot chocolate.

Cosmic Rays Dance Party! :cool1:

Snow on Main Street.

And the parade!!!!! :santa::yay:

haven't been Amy (you knew that already ;)) but I have heard some this and that on the MNSSHP planning thread...is there one out there for MVMCP? I'd bet you'll find alot more info about it that way...

also just guessing the best things will be like the parade and special fireworks plus the characters...all lines and waiting though

but I know I have read for MNSSHP there are special things out that aren't out regulary maybe same thing for MVMCP :confused3

sorry that didn't help at all :guilty:

Cookies and Hot Chocolate

:rotfl:

I honestly don't know all that much more than that...and of course the parade

I'd just want to resort hop and check out all the decorations but that doesn't have much to do with the actual party hee hee

Sorry I've been a bit MIA lately... I spent last week getting ready for camping, then we spend the long weekend up north, and this week has been recovering from camping! Then I get to jump right into packing for our week away in the Berkshires & CT later this month!

Tomorrow will be FOUR MONTHS until we arrive at Disney to celebrate our anniversary!! Hopefully I'll have our Magic Kingdom update posted sometime before we take off for the Berkshires.

And thanks to everyone who has offered suggestions for MVMCP!!

Hmm....Let's see....

Cookies & hot chocolate.

Cosmic Rays Dance Party! :cool1:

The dance party sounds fun! I didn't know about that one!

I've heard that hot chocolate and the sugar cookies are pretty tasty! :santa:

Mmmmm... :cloud9:

There is a MVMCP thread but it hasn't been very active yet. I'll have to look around - maybe there's another thread that I haven't found yet. I found some interesting info on easywdw too!

I think we'll be OK if we choose one or two character lines that we want to deal with, get in one line early and play the other by year. And we could always jump into any short lines we spot throughout the night.

Cookies and Hot Chocolate

Unfortunately the resorts probably won't be decorated yet. We're catching the very earliest bits & pieces of the holidays. We get MVMCP & The Osborne Lights but that's about all. I'd love to see the resorts all decorated, but I also don't know how much patience the rest of my gang would have for that anyways.

Four months from today we'll be checking in at BWV (or BCV - still holding out hope that the waitlist will come through)!!:banana:

I'm sure the next two months will fly by with summer vacation & it will be here before we know it!!

(I know the next 30 days will fly by... our final payment to the DVC owner is due August 8th!)

:cool1::cool1: For Four Months Until Check In. I can't believe that on sunday I can actually call and make my 11 month reservation for a treehouse. Here's hoping your waitlist comes through! :worship:

Love the pictures from Epcot! It's by far my favorite park. I swear I could spend every day of my trip there! In fact on the one adults only trip Scott and I took that's where we spent the majority of our time. It was so much fun.:thumbsup2

Your vacation will be here before you know it! Summer vacation always seems to fly by for me... I love not dealing with homework too much so it always goes quickly. :sad2:

glad you had time to check in in between the busy trip schedules but hope you are having some fun and some good RnR :goodvibes

wow 4 months  wow it is coming up fast huh?
