In the past, I've always requested DISigns on this board. I finally decided to try it myself. I had a lot of trouble until DBf got involved. Here's an example of his first DISign! :woohoo:

Now we're making more shirts than we have days for the trip. Time to cut back! :)

Don't cut back! Post the rest! That's a GREAT Disign...LOVE IT!!

That is adorable! DD is a big Nemo fan - do you mind if I use it for our trip?

Keep creating!!!

I've got photoshop elements, and I don't know how to do anythign with it yet other than lighten pictures, edit the hues, etc. How did you figure this out, do you have a book you bought or a google search result tutorial that you found or anything? I'd LOVE to come up with something in PSE for a project I'm working on. I just don't have ANY IDEA HOW TO DO IT!

I bought the Missing Manuals book on it. It wasn't hugely helpful, but it did help me understand layering better and helped with outlining. The name within a name directions on this board's FAQ thread worked better than the book! After that, I got hugely frustrated, went to my DBf and he figured out the rest! We refer back to the book every once in awhile, so it wasn't a total waste, but it would have felt more worth the money if it were cheaper. The online PSE help hasn't been a help at all. Good luck!

Congratulations on your achievements. I am thinking of buying Photoshop Elements for Dummies.

I highly recommend Elementsvillage.com and photoshopelementsuser.com, Elements Village's sister site. Elements Village is full of knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful people. Its sister site, photoshopelementsuser.com, is well worth the money. There a 100's of tutorials, downloads etc. and a bimonthly newsletter. Back issues are available online and they often have specials where you get DVDs or a year of back issues if you register.

When you get more familiar and comfortable with elements you can head over to Planet Photoshop.com and take some of the older tutorials there. They're free and very well done. You'll need to be VERY familiar with PSE as the tutorials are for full Photoshop. They can often be adapted to PSE, often it's just knowing where the commands are located in PSE as they're not always in the same place.
