Finally Gave In

We've been members for about 5 years and the first 2 years we seemed to be able to rent points out and banked and all was swell.

Now, I've just decided that we need more points and I made an offer on 60 more points (to go with our 150). If we always go in September, that would be a week Preferred View on the Boardwalk, or a week at the Beach Club (neither of which is our home resort).

Who knew we were going to like those Epcot resorts so well? Oh well, life is short and you can't take it with you.

Ok, I see a lot of views and no posts... Maybe it's in the way your post is worded, but it seems as though you've been renting (away) points and banking points. To me that gives the impression that you already had more points than you needed. Not trying to be snarky... just to understand.

OP, are you saying that you've been renting points FROM other people, or TO other people?

I'm glad to see that you took the plunge and got enough points to fill your needs. Boardwalk is so great!

My interpretation is that for the first 2 years the OP had more than enough points.....then in the next 3 years they discovered the Epcot resorts during a higher point time. Now they finally gave in and are upping their points!

Congratulations OP! Are you buying at BWV or BCV or getting more points at your home resort (which is?)?

Sorry I made it confusing, but KAT4DISNEY got it. And strangely enough, we're not buying at the Epcot resorts - but at a really good VB deal. We always go in the off season, so the home resort thing hasn't been an issue - just points lately!

We've given my mom and stepdad a few days at Hilton Head, transfered some pts to a friend who was a little short - and THEN I found out how much a week at BW/BC would be! I always wanted an excuse to buy more points, and now that DH and I have fallen in love with the Epcot area, I finally had it!

Will let you guys know when (think positive) we pass ROFR.
