Finally doing it!!!

DH and I toyed with the idea of going to the DVC presentation back in 2003 when we didn't have kids yet. What resort were they selling direct, and at what price?

They were selling (I should say pushing since we didn't know we could ask for other resorts) SSR direct pre-opening when we called in fall 2003. We were offered BWV due to the demolishing of the preview center and additional pts being available and we jumped on it. It was $84 but they had a buyback program and they'd take $10 off a point if you didn't take current use year. So we paid $74.

Starting in January 2020, immediately after the opening of Star Wars, I predict zero studio availability at 7 months at any time for two straight years.

I'm already seeing it for spring break this year, well outside the fall frenzy window.

I have to agree with others here: buy where you want to stay. I cannot see DVC bookings at seven months getting anything but harder.

But I’m a low-stress type of person: I want to book where I love to stay at eleven months and KNOW I’ll be happy with my stay, not thinking...”well, I would’ve liked to have been.....”

No way I’d buy Vero or HH with the intention of only staying at wdw....madness there for sure...

Buying in at VGF pre-sale with incentives was probably one of the best buys if you can stomach the point charts.

But honestly, in 46 years, are we really going to be missing those extra years? I don't know about you, but I plan to be well into dementia.

For your preview of HHN viewing pleasure.

Checked out buy 8:30 and have been touring the parks since.

...LOL! I'm thinkin' I'll be WELL INTO my post retirement occupation.. Professional Daisy Pusher-Upper.

So funny. Please note Bing Showei is a VGF/SSR owner, not a breezy BCV member :D

Agree 46 vs 50 is negligible. Try as I might, cannot justify 24 vs 46 though. I like the idea of potentially being able to sell my MK contracts in 24 years or gift them to children of our dear friends who live in North America (if we get too demented to travel and, unbelievably, our kids do not love Disney despite our best efforts at indoctrination). Luckily we travel out of peak seasons and I can gate crash BCV/BWV when available. Best of both worlds!

Don't buy at HHI or VB unless you want them for those resorts. DVC is gets harder and harder to book at non home resorts at 7 months as they add more people into the ecosystem.

I would agree for studios....but if you are in the market for 1br or bigger.....7-6 month windows are pretty good with choices.
