Finally decided!! GCH here we come!!

Thank you everyone for all your great hotel tips and advice. DH really really wants to stay at the GCH, so I just gotta put my $ thoughts aside and go for it LOL!! From what I can tell, it's actually a pretty good price, at least I hope it is and doesn't got down. I have to go call Costco today at book our package. By booking the package we are actually going to save $59.10 (when I minsed out the character meals and $20 gift card), and we'll get all the extra perks. Now lets just hope we don't get a room in a long hallway, what should I request? near an elevator? or is there a certail wing? sorry I wanted that to get noticed

You're going to LOVE the GCH!!! I've stayed there three times. Once you stay there, there's just no staying anywhere else. As far as requesting a certain room/area, there's no guarantee you would get it. If you want to be close to the pool, I would suggest requesting a room on the first floor. In the new wing, there ARE rooms on the first floor. I was just there two weeks ago. One of the gates to the pool was right out my back door. It was nice!

P.S. This is JMO, but I wouldn't request a room close to an elevator. You would hear loud people all times of the night. Have fun on your trip!

I completely agree! The further away you are, the quieter the rooms. We always asks for a Downtown Disney View. It is further away, so less noise and we can watch the fireworks from our balcony.

The elevators are around the corner from rooms so noise isn't really an issue, IMO.

You'll have a great time!! GCH is so fun.

Good to know about the first floor rooms--I wasn't aware of that!
