Not sure if y'all remember me or not, but, I was around a few months back after selling our camper (to someone on this board), and I was whining around about buying a new or new to us camper. Then we went on out trip in October, and became interested in DVC.

Then my DH decided that he is going to go back to school to be a teacher, starting in Jan, so, in 2 more school years, we will both be teachers, and both have lots of time off together. So, we decided if we bought a camper we could travel tons, because it is more affordable to travel with the camper, and it would be our home away from home.

So, I am back. And the saving starts hard core in January. I can't wait. Now, just to decide if we are going to move our October reservation from the Pirate room at CBR to the Cabins. Decisions. Decisions. I just wanted to reintroduce myself and say "hello" again!

Congratts on planning to buy a camper both being teachers you will get alot of use out of it. We have a 39' 5th wheel and this year we will have used it for 70 nights, we are also DVC owners so I guess we have the best of both either choice would have been great.

Congrats on the decision! We were DVC owners then sold it and used some of our proceeds to buy our camper...one of the best purchases we've ever made. Sure, we had some fantastic trips as DVC owners, but the endless opportunities of traveling and camping with our camper have been priceless...we have had so much fun exploring our region of the country with the camper over the past 2.5 years (shhh, don't tell anyone, but there are other fun family vacations out there besides WDW...something we didn't realize before!) Plus, we still get to go to WDW every so often and stay in our comfy little home on wheels!

You guys will have a blast, especially with summers free to do a lot of roaming this great land of ours! Ooh, imagine a month-long or more trek around the country...very cool.

The month long summer vacations is what are envisioning. You read my mind! We miss our camper, a lot. I think by the time we end up buying our 2 youngest will be past the age where we have to watch every little thing that goes in their mouth, and walking up and down hills and such are a nightmare.

We loved going to our local camp ground during my school breaks, then we outgrew our camper.

I may have to consider renting the camper, that sounds great!

I really love how the other campers posted here are setup. It shows that there really is love from all the owners. I myself want to be able to purchase my own camper as soon as I can free up some funds. I already have some great places to camp from this awesome but unlikely place to find vacant land for sale. LOL!
