I feel your pain on the flights! We are traveling with 4 other people so we had to go for the convenient airport (i live in the vicinity of about 4 different airports) but coming home we found an awesome deal of $69 each but to a different airport! Thank god I had the patience to research because otherwise we'd have spent a ton more money!


FYI I tend to find that booking direct gets better deals sometimes. I check the travel sites and thye direct websites. Also Overstock.com has a decent travel section now too! We went to Vegas this past April on a package i bought off of there.

oh my, i feel panicky just from reading your last post planning air travel is so stressful because if you want to change it once it's booked, you have to pay. ugh. just don't get as anxious as i did on one of my last trips to WDW, where i was so excited to find cheap airfare via Southwest that i booked two tickets right away...FROM orlando TO philly (instead of the other way around). good luck with the continued planning!

WHOSE disney trip shoes came today?

I'm in love!

Both pairs are super comfy, and fit great! I was worried about the sassaris fitting, but they're great- not too tight or too lose, and my heel doesn't hang off the back, so yay!

I have to pimp tillys.com for your croc needs- I got the Ithacas for like $25 on sale, shipping was reasonable, and they shipped out the day after I ordered them! They get a from me!

They're super comfy! And the fact that they bump me up to around 6'2 isn't bad, either! I don't think I'd want to wear them all day in the parks, but they'll be perfect for things like tea and the Adv Club. And maybe the trip to and from the pool, because heaven knows we can all use a little boost when we're in a swimsuit!

I'll be at the Adv. Club on Halloween, most likely as some sort of piratey-doctor amalgm. You can just be prepared to ask all the guys dressed in scrubs if they're Brocktoon ... I'm sure it's a great ice-breaker

50 days to go! Wooohoo!

I just called Disney (again) to try to switch our All Star Sports reservation to another value, but still no luck. They has ASMu available, but with no discount. A step in the right direction, at least? I'll be calling back next week when the 45 day mark passes- maybe some people with packages won't pay them off in time?

On a funny note- I got a PM on another board today offering me the exact room I want- a BCV studio for 5 nights... for what works out to...$26 a point!



(If you're not familiar with DVC, points usually rent for $10-$14 each. Maybe $15 if it's a hard to get reservation, $8 if it's something they want sold fast.)

I'm still holding out hope that I'll come across a room! I'm still technically "homeless" for at least 2 nights of my trip!

Speaking of which, I had been somewhat planning to fly home on the 4th or 5th, but I'm pretty sure I'm going to have to go with the 3rd instead. Money is tight for this trip, so cutting off 2 days will make a big difference. I would just cut one, but there are no flights available on the 4th (if I stick with Southwest). Leaving on the 3rd will still give me 7 full days and 2 half days, so I'll probably survive

I haven't heard a word from Kelly in almost 2 weeks- she's started teaching at a new school, so I guess she's been quite busy! Good thing I'm enough of a planning nerd to cover both of us!

I'll be there Oct 26th but only at MNSSHP before heading on over to the Disney Magic on the 27th. I would love to do the Adventurer's Club on Halloween though, that would be so fun. Something for my to do list.
