I've just put the deposit down for two weeks at Disney's Old Key West Resort from August 26th 2014 with free dining! Still need to book flights but I'm having to wait until pay day to do that but think we're going to go with Thomas cook, although I've seen some mixed reviews!

Now its time for me to swot up on all the new things I've missed since I haven't been lurking like FastPass+ and Magic Bands etc!

Just one quick question, do you see any reason why My reservation wont link to the My Disney Experience site? I'm using the 6 digit reference i got when I booked, should it be a different US number?

I'm just so excited to start planning!

Disney have been having problems with the 'My Reservations' system recently so maybe try contacting them and see if they're still having problems??

How spooky we have similar names:)

We have booked OKW for May 2014. I sent an email to DisneyUk asking when they would issue my US reservation number as my 6 digit UK number was not recognising my reservation on my online Disney account. They replied saying It would be produced somewhere between 9 months and 6 months of travel but in plenty of time or me to complete my dining requests. I then had to call them last week to add one of my sons to my reservation and I asked again just on the off chance and she gave me an 8 digit reference (3 letters and 5 numbers) there and then. When I input this reservation number in I didn't immediately find my reservation but asked me to manually link it. As soon as I did this my vacation appeared with all my family linked to the reservation.

Hope this helps. Enjoy your planning, I know I am :)

I was able to find my reservation by using my UK confirmation number once they shifted the UK over to the US website which I did on my laptop following a post on here.

When it linked it then showed a new reservation number as above with 3 letter and 5 numbers, I then checked MDE app on my ipad and the reservation was there too.

Fantastic:cheer2:

oh don't worry about the mixed reviews...what airline doesn't get them. Go for the cheapest or which ever one you fancy, they all end up in the same place.:cool1: Just remember the luggage allowance is less then VA and BA etc but to upgrade is less then them. Swings and roundabout, swings and roundabouts:goodvibes

Enjoy your planning.:cheer2:

The only thing that put us off Thomas Cook is that next year they will have stopped flying from Gatwick and I'm not trekking up to Manchester !

Luckily for me, Manchester is probably my closes airport!

Exactly, its only a small portion of my holiday, as it gets me there in one piece I'll be happy! :yay:

I realised this the other day when i looked at a post and didn't remember posting a reply, and it was actually you replying not me! Ill send them an email today just on the off chance they'll give me it this far out!

Thanks to all for your replies!! Let the planning commence! :D

I've just booked today via phone and the helpful lady said I had to call back within 190days of departure to get the code.

That date's in a couple of weeks so I'll let you know if it works :D

I booked with a travel agent last weekend and phoned WDW today to ask how, when, where etc to get the code and CM said at the 300 day mark I should phone my TA and they will contact WDW who will give them my code to add my reservations. I will be travelling on 18th August 2014.

So on October 22nd I will be nagging my TA to get me a code to go back to Disney with. :rotfl:
