We are booked at CBR for 5 nights on military rate plus dining. I am needing some helpful advice on where to eat. We have 3 kids, DD 9, DD7, and DS 2. We were thinking a princess dinner somewhere one night and then somewhere to see Mickey, possibly a breakfast. I was thinking about also doing a dinner that costs 2 credits somewhere and then having one day free of table service. Possibly Hoop De Doo or something. Suggestions?

Princess dinner would be either CRT or Akershus. CRT is 2 credits and Akershus is one. I'd personally do CRT if you haven't been before. It's in the castle and they have a great little wishing ceremony.

For breakfast my favorite is Tusker House. At Chef Mickey though you could see the fab 5.

For a Mickey character breakfast our favourite is Tusker House...always been great!!

I would recommend Chef Mickey's for breakfast to see the whole Fab Five. It is the only spot on property that has them all together in one spot.
I would recommend Askerhaus for a princess dinner. It is only one credit and the princess interaction is great.
And I highly recommend Hoop Dee Doo Review for your family. Your children are great ages for it.
It is an All You Care To Eat Western Themed dinner and show. The food is really good "down home cooking". The meal is: corn bread and butter, salad, fried chicken, ribs, baked beans, corn, mashed potatoes, and strawberry shortcake for dessert. The price includes tax and gratuity and all you want beverages, including beer, wine and sangria.
The show is high energy, singing dancing and audience participation. It is full of corny jokes. Folks of all ages love it.
I have been with my core family when my children were young, about the same ages yours are now. I had the pleasure of going with the oldest DS as he took his 2 young children to experience something he loved when he was young. And I have been with just adults 30's - 60's and everyone had a Blast each time!!!!
Enjoy

We like Crystal Palace for breakfast...it is the characters from Winnie the Pooh. Loved Hoop De Doo last trip but meal was not worth two credits....plus would be hard with a two year old. If you are going for the entertainment alone it is great but the food was like a Kentucky Fried Chicken.

Would recommend CRT( the castle ) for dinner. It is 2 credits but we enjoyed it much more than Akershus for food and interaction.

For breakfast my mom especially loved Ohana. Mickey Pluto lilo and stitch and they bring the food to you and it is all you care to eat. We find it laid back although the kids can walk around in the parade with the characters. We definitely find it less hectic.

I can't really give input on Hoop de doo but for us would rather use the 2 credit for the castle.

For a 2 credit dinner I'd choose one of the signatures so that the food is a bit better (though those meals can be a bit long for a 2 year old after a long day at the park). For a non-character one credit table service meal Teppan Edo has good food and would probably keep the kids entertained. We really did NOT like Crystal Palace - limited character interaction and poor food. Even our daughter, a big Pooh fan, refers to it as the "nasty breakfast place." Chef Mickey's tends to get some bad reviews on the food but it has Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Pluto and Donald and is the only restaurant with those five. None of the character meals have "great" food so that might be your best bet for characters. Haven't done any of the princess meals but 1900 Park Fare at the Grand Floridian is supposed to have good character interaction.

I booked CRT for the evening of our first day. Then I booked Cape May for a dinner, tusker house for a breakfast, Whispering canyon for a dinner.
