I’ve been thinking about it for years, and have done a few mock bookings but just couldn’t justify the cost of it. Then they started taking away things like free onsite hotel parking, the Magical Express bus service, etc. and I thought less and less about going on a solo trip. But then I reached 66 1/2 years old and started drawing my social security, and now they are running an up to 30% off room rate so a couple days ago I talked it over with DH and decided to go for it! I’m not getting any younger so I decided I should do it while I can, and not get too old and wish I would have done it.
So I booked a week at our favorite resort, Port Orleans Riverside
for November. Booked my airfare yesterday. I got a 6-day park hopper pass, and the quick service dining plan. Just need to book my Mears transportation from/back to the airport, and get my trip insurance.
So now I’m back to reading the park boards, going through menus, seeing what new attractions there are, and getting excited about my trip. I’ve done solo trips other places, always enjoy just having myself to worry about. Do my own thing whenever I want to, eat where I want to, etc. Oh, I’m sure there will be times when I wish DH was there with me, but I’m excited to do this trip on my own
