My DH says the same thing. This kind of "extortion" should have a penalty attached. While the family may have been using Tigger to extort money from Disney's deep pockets, the person behind the costume has had his integrity questioned, his job in jeopardy and his reputation attacked. There should be some ramification for this type of behavior.

The big gasbag complaining that Tigger has not apologized for something that he did not do makes me just .

It did say pending investigation...it seems now that has concluded. Maybe he will be reinstated.

I agree about having a penalty attached when it comes to the "legal extortion" that the Monaco family has tried to do.


Jerry Monaco wanted the CM who was in the Tigger costume to apologise so it would be seen as admission as guilt and they could proceed with a lawsuit. A lot of companies have strict guidelines to follow when it comes to legal matters such as this. I'm sure the Disney legal team made sure that the CM involved stayed silent and out of the glare of the media. I hope the CM involved gets to keep his job and is given the back pay he has missed since this debacle started.

My DD just told me that Disney settled with the family. Does anyone know if this is true? If this is the case there is no reason for any other money grubbing individual to accost a cast member and then accuse that member of assault. It seems to me the quietly paying this kind of creep invites more of the same.

For the same reason he waited until the TV News cameras were there to ask his son how hard he was "hit."

And for the same reason that the son could not keep a straight face when saying he did nothing to provoke the attack.

They are big, fat liars. If Disney gave them one cent, the company is run by a bunch of pansies.

The kid playing Tigger ought to sue the Monacos.
