So I have been to Walt Disney World so many times with my family. We are sending off last kid to College and my husband and I are going to WDW alone for 7 days (It's our anniversary). We have done everything (I think) including the very expensive breathless. Our last night I would like to do something different and romantic. What would you suggest?

Try the dessert viewing at EPCOT of the fireworks or a boat tour of the fire works at both MGM and EPCOT.

The very best thing we have ever done together as a couple in the theme parks has been the tours: The Wild Africa Trek, Behind the Seeds, etc. I know they're typically only during the day, but that's still quite special.

We did this three years ago and it was a lot of fun. Just the two of us. It was wonderful not to live on anyone else's schedule.

Enjoy.

So jealous... Seriously, have a wonderful time!!

My DH & I were thinking about heading back to the World in early November, just the two of us, for our anniversary for a long weekend and my two teen DD's were getting all nuts over it. We were like "really"?? We're taking them to Disney on a 10-day trip next week! DH was like too bad and I immediately started feeling a little guilty so now I'm not sure what we're going to do :confused3...kids, I tell ya!

Ignore them and just do it.

Don't feel guilty, kids need to know parents have to be by themselves. It is not always about the children. Go and have a great time!

Oh I intend to, but they do know how to get a person going...if we can make the numbers work, it will be Disney...if we can't, we'll go somewhere local, like a romantic spa getaway to Newport, RI or the Cape :)

The saddest part? My oldest DD (who just graduated high school in June) is the worse one. DH gets so mad at her and has already told her the next time she wants to go somewhere with her friends, he's tagging along :rotfl:

If its not too late INSTILL the word Adult time. I was taught this by my parents. They are married almost 50 years. My three girls have been told this since day one. Its like a line drawn in the sand. My husband and I are married 15 years we still feel like we are dating and yet we have alot of family time together.
Childern need to know its not always about them .

Hmmm.....

Couples Spa treatment?

Carriage ride?

Dinner and a movie?

moonlit stroll along a beach (poly?)

so many ideas.... so little time.
