Finally a rainy day :)

Seems like it has been months since we've had a good soaking rain in S. Jersey. We are getting it today I never thought that I would get so excited over a rainy day. I am looking forward to staying inside and getting tons of stuff done today.

What do you do on a rainy day, anyone else getting the rain?

While I dislike long periods of rain, I agree that one or two rainy days after a long spell of nice weather can be delightful. I won't allow myself to stay inside and watch movies if it is nice out, but if it's a cool, rainy day I love to pop in a movie or bake or play boardgames. Enjoy!

I am so happy to be having a rainy day! My kids wake up in the mornings ready to go outside, and I have soooo many projects I need to get done in the house. I can't remember the last time we had an inside day!
I'm parking their hineys in front of the TV and the Wii for a while today while I finish up some sewing projects, get some baking done, (yay for temps in the 70's), finish painting a table, and modge podge a lampshade.

Same here!!!! It's nice to have a day inside. Although we both have hair cut appts. this afternoon, so we'll run out for that, but otherwise, we are going to have a lazy day. I've decided that all the 1/2 done projects I've tried to start this summer and my messy house can wait another 3 weeks 'til school starts and then I'll have my house back and all to myself everyday 'til 2:45

I hope the rain makes its way up to New York - we are still on a water restriction and my lawn looks awful since I haven't been able to really run my sprinklers.

The past 5 summers we have had VERY little rain, this year we have had just enough, but last week we got 6" of rain so we don't really need any more--just a little here and there to water plants, thanks. Our lawn looks awesome and we have only had to water twice this summer . The pond at the end of our street FINALLY has some water in it-first time since we moved here.

Rainy days I like to curl up and read a book. It is cloudy out today, gloomy cloudy and it would be a good book day but we take DS18 to college tomorrow so we are spending the day getting ready for that.

Well I hope it doesn't rain today- we are supposed to be going on a pirate cruise tonite(my little guys and me) It doesn't look promising. But I do find it funny because my friend that planned this- anytime she plans anything it rains. We call her the rainmaker. I should have known.
