Finally, a good pizza at Disney World!

looking forward to trying. but we will be going at a time before the ADRs are available. to anyone there now, other than OP, how are the walk up waits?

Its nice to hear that there is a good pizza place to eat at disney. We ate at the one in hollywood and the boardwalk, it was ok, but nothing to brag about.

Thanks for a great review - we love pizza and we will certainly go there in May next year
yum yum:banana:

I have to disagree with this review. We just went to Via Napoli and I was disappointed. I won't ever go back. First of all, the pizza was ridiculously expensive. The atmosphere was incredibly casual and very close together/crowded but the prices were what you would expect for a romantic upscale dining establishment. Furthermore, the pizza wasn't good. If there is one thing at all that I want on my pizza, it is cheese. Cheese is important. Without cheese, pizza sucks. There were whole slices on our pizza that did not have any cheese! We ordered the neapolitan pizza and there was almost no basil on it. Maybe one leaf per slice. The pizza was very thin and kind of greasy so one slice doesn't really fill you up very much. The only good thing I can say about them is that they used high quality ingredients. The cheese was real slices of mozzarella cheese (the fresh kind in balls, not processed) and the pizza sauce was good. But, I just can't deal with paying that much for a slice of thin bread with tomato sauce and nothing else on it! That is not pizza! The pizza looked like it had spread out polka dots of cheese. The cheese should've covered the whole pizza. It was horrible.

Have you ever been to Italy?

What we have as pizza here in the states (minus a few specialty places) is not "real" pizza. What you got at Via Napoli is much more traditional. They don't smother the pizza in toppings and cheese, it's nice a thin and crispy, and quality is more important then quantity.

Theresa626 - I have to agree with you, we are not fans of the pizza. Almost heresy, since it is "authentic" Naples pizza, but we apparently don't care for the authentic pizza, lol.

I just posted this on another thread. We ordered the quattro stagioni pizza, and were surprised to find that the four toppings (artichoke, mushroom, ham, eggplant) were on separate quarters of the pizza. As you say, the cheese is good, but almost non-existent, and we did not care for the runny (albeit fresh) sauce. The crust is wonderful, but the sauce caused the middle to get soggy very quickly. We ended up with a one topping pizza with nearly no cheese; an expensive pizza crust, if you will.

Our service wasn't anything to write home about, either. We aren't making any plans to return.

We ate here two weeks ago and I was in heaven. My DH and I shared an order of calamari which was excellent. He had the spaghetti with meat balls which was a bit disappointing and I had the individual artichoke pizza and my DD and her friend had the kid's pizza. We were on the DDP so we finished with an order of the ricotta cheese fritters (so good!) and the gelato.

I was originally shocked at the pricing for the place with their $17 pizzas but then I came to the conclusion that it is actually cheaper than all the other Epcot restaurants. The 1/2 meter pizza at $36 will easily feed 3-4 people so you're spending $8-$10 per person for an Epcot dinner. FWIW, I saw some people getting their larger pizzas with two different toppings.

I have a reservation here for NYE night and I can't wait to go back!

ETA: I am a Chicago pizza girl so I cut my slices into smaller ones. After I ate my pizza and looked around I saw a number people folding the slices and eating it that way (like a NY pizza). I think I'll do that next time to focus the flavor and toppings more.

I actually can't stand when my pizza is nothing but cheese....YUCK. So I'm hoping they just put a little cheese on our pizza and I bet I'll love it ;).
