1. Alcohol is served in some fashion at all parks except Magic Kingdom.
2. Pleasure Island is no more so Citywalk is your only choice for THAT type of entertainment, though I still recommend Jellyrolls at the Boardwalk. Lots of fun.
3. Can't think of anything other than enjoy yourself.
4. I have never been to Citywalk so cannot answer that question.

I think it's under construction I was there in Feb. All the stores are there and some restaurants but they are building some new things.

What happened to pleasure island?

I assume the local Orlando crowd making it not the safest place to hang out, coupled with the fact that children were allowed inside it as long as they were with their parents made it a very odd atmosphere. They decided to close it in September 2008.

Pleasure Island is being revamped to include some more family-friendly style entertainment. No more night clubs.

Well that is the old news. Whatever plans Disney had for the revamping of PI have pretty much fallen through. The Central/South American restaurant is the ONLY new thing on PI right now and it will open in the near future. Rumor has it that a third party operator may reopen Manneqins and 8TRAX.

There is a summary of all the PI rumors on by Blog at: www.savepleasureisland.blogspot.com

Also, I may be renting Soundstage the first Saturday night in May and operating it as a Mannequins-style club that night. Awaiting Disney approvals. Details will be posted on the Blog once I know for sure.

In answer to your other questions, yes, the CityWalk 1-night/All Club Party Pass at $11.99 + tax is a good deal and a definite place to visit on Friday and/or Saturday night. Since PI closed, the clubs have been jammed on weekend nights. The Thursday night 80's Night in the Groove is also getting really popular.

If you're going to have a car with you, I can recommend some places off Disney property if you're interested. Howl at the Moon on I-Drive is probably my favorite bar in the entire world. Always a good time. There's also a few great places close to DTD. Ale House, Kitty O'Shea's, and I forget the name of the place but there's this pretty popular bar/pool hall.

We wont have a car but we have no problem grabbing a taxi if its worth it! How about wineries? Any near by?

Good thread!

I turned 21 in January and my May/june trip will be the first I can legally drink for! I am celebrating college graduation, so I plan to come home with my memories in the form of pohotgraphs and videos, because I won't be remembering a thing, lol.

We will be having a car with us. I would love to hear about other off-site ideas. We want to go to Bob Marley- Tribute to Freedom at City Walk and are having a really hard time figuring out what else to do.

Well Howl at the Moon is definitely worth it. Check out their website for more info, or search for it on Youtube. I'm not exactly a wine person, so I'm not sure on wineries in the immediate area. I know there's a great place in Winter Park, which is probably 40 minutes down I-4. If you watched the Samantha Brown Orlando special, it was featured on there. Probably too expensive for a taxi ride, though.

The only winery in the Orlando area that I'm aware of is in the Minneola area of Lake County. It's on US27 north of Clermont up in Florida's "mountains". It's called the Lakeridge Winery. You'll find it along Florida's Turnpike at Exit 285.
It's surprisingly large and they do give tours. Too far for a taxi though.

Well don't drink and drive, seriously.

Wasn't planning on it, I won't be the only driver in our party and we plan to use the buses for when we are on property (which will be most of our trip). Maybe I should have clarified that somewhere between the "not remembering a thing" and car remarks, lol.

We are trying to find a fun dance club. any suggestions?

The Groove at Universal CityWalk and Antigua downtown Orlando are probably my current favorites and are both quite crowded. See my previously listed above Blog for club listings. Look for the entry on the right side for "Orlando Club Options".
