Good news -- the lymphoma is Stage 1a. It's only in her neck area and chest. :)

Bad news -- She's not going to be able to get away with no chemotherapy. The cancerous area was just too large of an area for them to feel comfortable doing radiation only at this point. However, they are going to do limited chemo (ABVD)and then limited radiation. They'll going to start with the chemo, four treatments (8 weeks) and then follow that up with radiation.

Tomorrow afternoon at 3pm, Nicole goes in for surgery to get a PICC line (temporary catheter) to make the chemo process easier on her. Sometime next week, we'll know the exact date of her first treatment.

Once again, thanks for all the prayers and well wishes -- I appreciate it more than I can ever express. :)

I'll keep sending lots of prayers and pixie dust for Nicole. I hope her procedure goes smoothly with little discomfort. Keep us posted, Steve!

Prayers and good thoughts coming your way.

It's a road many have travelled, Steve, and successfully. Sounds like you all are ready to get it going. My best and prayers continue.

Sounds like a great prognosis Steve. My best wishes to Nicole. How are her spirits?

Well...more silver lining. I pray that she will tolerate the treatments well and that you will soon be able to put all of this behind you.

BTW I have not been around much lately...was the final diagnosis Hodgkins or non-hodgkins?

Continued prayers for Nicole and yourself. I hope everything goes well with the surgery and she does okay with her treatments as well.

My heart goes out to the both of you, Nicole is in my prayers.

I am keeping your wife, you , and the whole family in my thoughts and prayers!

Thoughts and prayers still coming. Good luck Nicole, you have a lot of people pulling for you.

Continued prayers for all of you. Chemo isn't nearly as bad as it was even just a few years ago. I have several friends with breast cancer and an aunt and uncle who have all had to take chemo. They mostly felt weak and tired. Not nearly as sick as we tend to think.

How wonderful that they caught it so early. Cling to the positives at this point. Sounds VERY treatable and that is always good news. Know that we are here for you. Many of us have had cancer and want to be a shoulder you can lean on.

{{{HUGS}}} for our Nicole and for you and Cam too. I hope she tolerates the chemo easily and has no ill effects.

Continuing my prayers

Steve,

Your attitude is continuing to amaze me. You and your wife sound like you have such a wonderful great attitude. This positive attitude is going to do you more good than you can imagine!!!

I love the fact that everytime you post, you have GOOD news for us to go along with the bad .

Give your wife, and that cute little man of yours a big hug!!

Continued good thoughts for you and your family!

Debbie

Hang in there, because even if you have a few crummy days they will be well worth it. Nicole just focus on that beautiful son of yours and the long future you will have with Steve.
Visualize the bad cells getting smaller each time you have a treatment.
Be well,
Jan

I am so glad to hear that the lymphoma has not spread very much at all. I will continue to remember Nicole in my prayers.

Thank you, Steve, for keeping us updated! Thank goodness, it's in it's early stage. So happy that things look good at this point. I will continue to keep her in my prayers!

Best wishes, Steve, to Nicole and to you too. I pray that things remain as "normal" as can be in your family...
Healing prayers too for Nicole...

:)
