Final Payment!!!!

Made the final payment yesterday!! But too scared to dance!!

While trying to save for Disney this year....our house was robbed with about $1000 of stolen goods/damage (guess what? insurance deductible is $1000, so not worth reporting to insurance...no camcorder for WDW now )

Car broke down....$600 to fix

Car 2 in an accident about a week later...cost will probably be somewhere around $1000 (traffic ticket, deductible, raise in insurance rates, etc.)

This week DH discovers he needs 2 crowns...dental insurance doesn't cover that until you've had the plan 3 years, we have had this particular plan 1 year...$1200

So I need positive energy that nothing else happens!!

(And I am not trying to be negative, everyone in our family is healthy right now, well aside from DH's teeth LOL, and that is much more important! The house break in and the car accident could have been awful had any of us been injured or had we not had insurance!! So losing money is not a big deal, losing our Disney vacation would be though!)

Oh man, I feel for you! The same thing has happened to us. When we came back from both of our previous trips we had both our cars breakdown within a week.

The only good thing is we save and pay for our trip off before we go rather than put it on credit so it does not come back to haunt us later. It is just a pain to deal with.

DH has started to make fun of me for being on the DIS so much, but I really need to get 6 months out of enjoyment for my week long vacation! Especially now that it will probably be another 3-5 years before we go on ANY other vacation!

And Breezysmom, yeah we are not credit card debt people either (I do have student loan which is bad enough)...which is good...and bad as well b/c with all these emergencies, it would be nice to put something on a card...but every card we have is 20% interest rate b/c we never paid attention to interest rates before (since we paid off every month)

I understand. Money's very tight right now for us as well, and I need a bunch of dental work sooner rather than later. I just made the decision to get it done after the trip. Priorities in order right?
As to the camcorder, that may be a good thing. Sometimes we can spend so much time filming that we forget to enjoy the moment. You can still take lots and lots of photos.
You are your family will have a wonderful time! You sound like you're keeping the positive energy up. Don't let anything get you down. You're going to WDW!!!.

I'm sorry to hear that but as what you've said there are still things to thank, all of your family are fine and healthy. So don't worry about it, may you have a great time, have fun and enjoy in your upcoming trip. Looking forward in hearing more from you.
