What I plan to do when I go to WDW next year is journal my day each night when back at the hotel. And once I get home and scrapbook, I will print out my journaling (like a big 'ole summary of each day) and use that as my last page.
I write a several page long memory story/trip report and after I scrap the trip, I scrap a print out of the story. I try to get stickers and other embellishments that match what the story is saying, ie travelling there, which park, meeting characters, eating, etc.
Fran, I'm brand new to scrapbooking (just finished my 6th page today) and I really enjoyed your album. You can see the progress you made over the years. It's inspirational!
The last few pages of my 2004 Disney Vacation album are in black and white and mounted on black pages (my favorites are b/w!!!)
Anyway, on my last page I have just 2 pictures: at the top a vertical shot of the castle flanked by Creative Memories die cuts of Mickey's hands (found in CM's "Mickey and Friends" Combo pack) and horizontal shot of my twins, then just barely 5 years old, asleep in the stroller after our last night in the MK. In between the two pictures I wrote "The End" with a silver pen.
I think it's my favorite page in the whole album! If I can figure out how to post a picture of it I will
Fran I love your stuff. Our husbands have similar builds and I have a little girl.... it is funny I could have been looking at some of our pics and barely know the difference. It's funny how some of the "same" pics some up in people's albums. I have to share some of them sometime.... it is like deja vu
I remember reading on a post about someone ending their trip at MGM and having everyone wave as they were leaving the park and the theme of the page was..."That's a wrap".
I liked that and thought that might be how I end this years book.
I finished my friend's album today and had left the last page with two spaces for room keys or park tickets. Learning that she had just thrown out all of her receipts from the trip, I was left wondering if she held on to those mementos or not. I was in a quandry as to what to do with the page. I had even written a little note telling her what to put there, but feared she wouldn't use proper adhesive to affix her cards. Today I was reviewing my Book of Scraps at 2peas and was reminded of an itinerary page created by krispea1 that I saved. I took that idea and re-used the business cards I made for our trip, pared down the info and modified to what we had actually done each day. Here is how I scrapped the itinerary on the last page of the album.
Thanks for all the great ideas. We ended up doing an acrostic poem with pictures from OKW.
I will try and post the picture. A little blury from the flash
