Does anyone have any suggestions or reviews of filtered water bottles (where the filter is built into the bottle)? I do not want to have to waste my snack credits on bottled water, or mess with packing several bottles each morning.

We bought 2 before our last trip and we used them constantly!

I am not sure what brand they are-we bought them at a camping store and took them down-certainly saved us a lot of $$$ wince we were there in September and it was HOT!

I know there are some that they sell in Target (Fit & Fresh maybe?) but the reviews are not so good. I know we spent more than the Target brand but we had no problems with them and are planning on bringing them back down when we go next month. :goodvibes

I used to have a Brita one and I really enjoyed it. I should look into getting another one since I'm generally unwilling to purchase bottled water if the tap water is drinkable, but, the water at disney tastes rather awful.

the brita bottle was discontinued a few years back.

I think I read somewhere that The Vitamin Shoppe has one.

Do a google on 'Pure Water 2 go' --- This is the bottle that I used on the prior two trips - and they worked fantastic....took the taste out, even when using the resort water out of the bathroom faucet.

I just attached it to a bottle lanyard and then while in the parks - if the water started to get warm or if I was running low - I asked a Counter Service or snack counter for a cup of ice water (free) - and refilled it. Easy, Easy...and always available.

(instead of the lanyard this year - I just bought an insulated holder with a belt loop - since the bottle does condensate in the humid/hot weather...hopefully this will keep the water cooler longer too!)

I highly recommend them 'Pure Water 2 Go' - I have the 16 oz. 'Sport' bottle with the Level 2 filter...it's currently on sale right now for 9.95. Also, just as a tip - they sell just the filter...so you could order spare filters with your first order to save on shipping....

It is by the rubbermaid pitchers and containers(not the disposable ones, the ones you reuse) It was around ten dollars. I would like to get one as I loved my Brita bottle. If so many people liked them, why on earth did they stop making them. Especially now with everyone going GREEN.

Be careful of the Liv Pure water bottles that are for sell at Target --- another Dis'er posted a bunch of online reviews that basically said they were no good.

I don't think I'm allowed to post links or I would....but if you do a search on Liv Pure water bottle review -- it will pull up the HSN website where they sell the bottles as well - and has about 24 reviews with only 2 stars (out of 5 stars). Some of the complaints state that the filters break down rather quickly, and the bottle leak.

Oh! the link worked - yay!

I think there were people who had trouble reading the usage information that said it didn't remove microbes and Brita ended up with problems from people who had dunked it in rivers and lakes and then tried to drink.

I just ask for free ice water at CS restaurants. You don't have to buy anything; they just give you a cup of ice water for free! The water is ice-cold and tastes great, and saves you from having to lug around a water bottle!

My Innova bottle still works great, and replacement filters are available. CS water won't always be convenient, and I don't usually want to stand in line just for water. The sulphur in the FL water is :crazy2: just terrible.

We just got back yesterday and free water is not as available as I had understood. At the snack places like the ice cream stands where they sell bottled water they did not have free ice water. They would give you a very small, 6 oz, cup and a purchased bottle of water but not free water. We asked for it in all three parks and were given the same answer. We did receive free water at the restaurants and at the counter service locations but not the convenient kiosk type stands that are much easier to access. Fortunately we had ordered a case of water from Garden Grocer and carried in 2 bottles every day.

You can only get free water at a place where they have the ice and cups for fountain drinks, not the bottled water and ice cream carts.

I definitely do this every time - never carry a bottle of water with me. First of all, it gets warm, and secondly it is just another thing to carry.

You can also get free water in the bathrooms.

I know that lots of people like ice water, but, slightly warmer water actually cools your body faster because it can use it faster. Anyway, I use the sinks to fill my water bottles and it's fast, easy and free.

I don't like the taste of the water there so this year I purchased a Seychelle filtered water bottle. I like that it has a strap/clip built in and the top for carrying and it is big enough you can put ice in it. Won't be using it until October though.
