Film packed in carry on or checked bags?

I'm just starting to pack and must be having a moment. Can't remember if film should go in carry on or checked luggage in order to avoid the bad x-ray bugs? Can anyone set my straight?

Definitely carry-on. If you have any 800 with you don't let that go through the carry-on scanner either - it will ruin it.

You might want to do a search on this topic. It was discussed at length about a week ago.

Take it in your carry on. You might want to ask for a hand inspection from the TSA agents. The x rays can damage your film.
