I have looked all over for an answer to the following situation, but haven't found one. So, if this has already been covered somewhere on the board, just point me to the right place, please!!:worship:

We have purchased 6 day hoppers through a vacation package. We got a screaming deal on them for $159 each. Do we know in advance if this price will print out on our hoppers or if it will be the gate price of $259 that prints out? We are exchanging a voucher that has no price printed on it, just that it is redeemable for 6 day hoppers. The reason the printed price matters is because we are debating if we should redeem them for annual passes upon our arrival. A $120 difference to pay or a $220 difference to pay per ticket would definitely sway our decision....:teacher:

Thanks in advance!!

I don't think it prints out the price but they will know how much you paid for it. At least that is what has happen to me in the past.

You won't likely upgrade from the gate price $271. It's more likely from the prepurchase price of $251. Don't count on this though, because you won't know until you try to upgrade and it's possible you will have to upgrade from $159.

The amount that you paid for the ticket is encoded in it. You will receive credit for what you PAID towards the cost of whatever ticket or AP you want to upgrade to, not the actual value.

i am not sure if this helps much, but i bought 4 day hoppers from LMT and when i went to upgrade i received the higher value than what i paid. it was about $13 per ticket difference.

i wish it was a hundred dollar difference...

We paid $197 for our hoppers (from getawaytoday) for our May trip, when we got our actual tickets, they had a price of $201 printed on them and they gave us $201 credit towards our APs. At the time, $201 was the pre-purchase price from Disneyland.com.

So, you may have an idea when you get your actual tickets. My guess would be if you got that big of a discount, that the tickets will have a lower value printed on them as well.

OK...just to update the thread for future readers: we did upgrade our tickets to annual passes (I am so excited we did!!). For the trip we just took, we paid $159 for 6 day hoppers through alaska air vacations. The hoppers printed with $216 value when we got to the park. We gained a $57 per ticket credit so we jumped on it. The cost per ticket that we had to pay to upgrade became $163 per pass, which is almost the same as I paid for these tickets. If we go on one 6 day trip we will break even (not to mention the 10% discount that saved us around $60 over the course of our trip on food and merchandise)!!:cool1:
