I've lurked for a while and figured why not make my first post live from our site. DW and I are away for a 4 night anniversary getaway! We arrived last night. Woke up early and went fishing today, they like the June Bug Culprit worms

We are new campers as of last year and this is our 5th trip here and absolutely love it. I'll try and link some photos during our stay.

Off to do some looping then to the parks!

Caught 2 small bass in the canal behind the 300 loop (I think that is the loop). Going back out before dinner may give a spinnerbait a try. Thanks all for the welcome!

Well we returned Tuesday afternoon. We had an awesome time. DW and I were like children since we didn't have ours with us

I was so caught up in the bike riding, fishing and parks that I was a terrible photographer. It was a great trip although the yellow flies tore us up. I have never had any dealings with these little monsters, but they can make your life miserable. Still itching today.

We are already looking at our next dates to book. We are fortunate enough to be in the Tampa area so we can get over there often.

Thank you all for the kind welcome and I promise to take more photos next time.

p.s. for born2fish, I caught 10 bass and a couple in the 3-4lb range!

How has the fishing been where you live ?

Sad to say I have not been out in several months. I am limited to wading since I don't own a boat, but have had very good success inshore fishing in the past (snook,redfish etc). There are so many great areas to fish here it can be overwhelming. Now that my boys are getting to the age to enjoy (7 and 5) we will make this one of our hobbies in addition to camping of course.

What part of Tn are you from? My brother and mother live in Kingsport and love it up there.
