Figi at Poly - Non smoking?

Just wondering if there are any smoking optional rooms in the garden view areas of Figi?

The only long houses that are smoking are :
Samoa & Tuvalua
We are on the land and sea package and both smoke and are affraid we wont be able to get a smoking room but as long as we have a balcony or patio we can make due!
We just put ina request for one and will again by fax befor we leave

Thanks. I have requested Samoa, but Figi just looked so nice. My husband smokes, but it seems from what I've read here that smoking on the patio, or balcony of a non smoking building would really tick some people off. A lot of people have said that the hallways of Samoa smell badly of stale smoke. While smoke doesn't really bother me, I don't want my room to smell like a bar either.

Perhaps you can talk your husband into smoking only in common areas so you can be in a non smoking building and still not tick anyone off by smoking on the patio or balcony.

Not sure that is really "ticks" some people off as much as some have really serious allergies to smoke.

The only smoking optional rooms at the Polynesian are The Samoa longhouse, The upper floor of Tuvalu, some of the suites in Tonga, half the ground rooms in Tahiti and the upper floor of Hawaii. All of these are a mix of lagoon and garden view.

Didn't mean to imply that the ticked of status wouldn't be justified. I would be ticked if I had an allergy and someone was smoking beside my non-smoking room. Just trying to let the other lady know this probably isn't a good idea, without "ticking her off".

It really isn't ticked off. It's the fact that some of us have major allergies and just a whiff of smoke can set off an asthma attack. If we stayed in a room that someone had smoked in or were in a room next to someone smoking my son and I would both be dealing with major asthma attacks.
