We have a 2011 5'ver and we love it, but the front bedroom feels every movement and we are looking at ways to stop it or reduce it. We have scene many ads about the sway bars which attached to the camper and the foot plate of the front stabilizers, has anyone use anything like that or what have you used, any help is appreciated.

We use a kingpin stabilizer on our 5'er. It seems to take the majority of the shake out. I used cross bar stabilizers on our TT. They helped, but I did not see enough benefit to put them on the 5'er.

JT Strongarm Stabilizers are about a $300 option that can be user installed.

Helps a lot.

We just installed the Reico Ground Control 4-pt leveling system. Both purchased from Tweetys.com

My parents have the Heavy Duty King Pin Stabilizer and it works great to reduce the shaking. Now for under the slide-outs they have Jack In the Box Slide-Out Stabilizer. With both of those under the camper there isn't much movement at all. I hope this helps you out.

We have one of those tripod king pin stabilizers that we put under the nose. It helps a lot. My parents actually borrowed ours recently to see if it would help theirs and liked it so much they bought one of their own.

First make sure you are putting enough pressure on the rear jacks to help the shake. My next suggestion concurs with other, look into a king pin stabilizer (even better if you can borrow someone elses to see if it cures your ailment first.) If you still have more bounce then you would like, small bottle jacks to take the suspension bounce away is your final option. You will never get rid of all the bounce, but as long you can manage how much bounce you should be satisfied.

Thank you all for the input, I do have a king pin tripod, but I am not sure if I am doing it right, I will check it again, plus I have the crank style scissor locks on the wheels. I would love to get a nice 4 or 6 self stabilizers, but not sure if the investment is worth it. I will try to see if I have the tripod right then make sure the rear stabilizers are down and go from there, any other things or ideas pop into your heads, I am open!! Thanks again for the help!!! :thumbsup2

I have a friend that installed the JT Strongarm on his 5th wheel. He said that it was the best he has tried for getting rid of the shaking

With the rear crank down, my friends usually go down till its snug and plus a half turn. the kingpin should be just as snug to help remove the nose bounce.

Saw this one and had to recommend the trailer stabilizer kit from UF at Camping world. They are adjustable bars that install on the landing gear and on the rear jacks. For the rear, we installed a curt 2 inch receiver hitch and used that to attach the bars to the rear jacks. We installed the kit in about 3 hours last year and have not had any issues with shaking in our 36' cougar toy hauler...
Also use the between the wheel chocks...

the tripod never did work well for us...

Thanks! I am taking my 5er to be serviced this week and will check on these, I am thinking this is the best route.

Thanks to all for your imput!
