I've used them twice, and my brother has used them once.
Their prices are lower bc they tend to handle distressed sales. Most times the sales go off without a glitch, but my brothers sale took 9 months bc it was international sellers spanning three continents.
They don't communicate well which is frustrating. They never call back and you call and call and call... You get the picture.
My two sales went well. My first was in 2011. They made a few mistakes on the contract which I caught. I tend to look over contracts, as I am a trained attorney.
My second purchase was end of 2014. Everything went well.
My brothers purchase? Took forever. On the plus side, they locked in their purchase price. I think they finally got their membership number last month, and they began the process last year in May. They didn't want to back out bc the price was so much lower than current prices.
At the end of the day, they are legit. Just slow and not very communicative
They are the people that DVC sends people that want to get out of their timeshare to. The people that do not know that there is other options out there. That being said I have bought from them. My experience went well, as quick as purchases with other companies. So I have no issues with them.
I have dealt with them twice, the last time recently and Shawn Ray has been responsive to every question I've had in a timely manner, generally the same day.The only knock is they add a 195.00 fee administrative fee, which isn't much per point on say a 150 point contract.
What I've had with them as well as DVCresales is if the contract has more than 1 offer of the asking price than they let you know and ask you if you want to change your offer. As I told her no I would never get into a bidding war and the asking price which I thought was fair was my final bid.By the end of the day the contract was mine.
Just used them in September, got an animal kingdom contract for $75 per point! I dealt with Shawn ray and she always got back to me quickly. From offer to closing was under 60 days! Would use again in a heart beat
I've always had a hard time reaching Shawn Ray but maybe it's just me. Sharon was much more communicative but she left. They do seem to encourage bidding wars IF more than one person bids.
I didn't mind. I got my two resorts for a very reasonable price. It was worth the lack of communication.
At the end of the day they are legit, there are deals to be had through them, and there's no harm in throwing in a few offers. Good luck!
I tried bidding on a contract with them back in December. The seller was taking way too long to respond to the offer but the Fidelity rep did keep me informed. I had to move on to a different contract with another broker. That contract is still open on the Fidelity site currently. I guess the sellers weren't as motivated to finalize a transaction.
