I was hoping to hear some of your experiences, good and bad, with Fidelity. I've had a great experience with Disney Resale Marketplace, but sometimes you need to go where the contract that you what is being sold. Thank you in advance!

In general they are OK to deal with. Some have good experiences some not so much. They are sometimes slow to respond and are closed on weekends. My only experience was submitting an offer and they got back about a week later stating the contract was already under contract.

My agent at Fidelity was frustrating. I constantly followed up, everything took forever, communication was not great. Once it got to the title company, everything was fine.

I would still do it again to get the deal I got. I care more about math than someone holding my hand.

I'm waiting impatiently to close on a contract signed 02/04/21. Lots of foot dragging, seller included and we're just expected to wait until they get around to day 75. I stopped sending money until the closing agent has the seller docs.

Price is really the only reason we go there. I've bought numerous times and most contracts are "memorable" for one reason or another. It is frustrating but I keep reminding myself how much we saved about $1500.

If you find a killer price just know it might be "challenging" IMO! Good luck!

They were terrible with communication...everything was so slow - from drawing up contracts, to getting them signed by the seller, to submitting to ROFR....I was almost happy when it was taken and we were able to look elsewhere, using a broker with stellar customer service instead.

That said - inventory is so low these days, that I find myself browsing their site again. If the perfect contract came up I think I would still purchase from them. I would definitely request my own title company and not use the one they had given us the first time around (First American).

Interesting, I went through Mason Title with Fidelity and no issues at all, the broker doesn’t really matter to me as long as they put forward the lowball offers it’s all good

I am using fidelity/first american right now and the communication seems better than what others have commented on in the past. My offer was made at the end of the day and accepted that same day, they have explained the process to me and have been prompt with emailing. My agent is Bonnie. As you know I heard ROFR today and it was First American who emailed to inform me. It’s been fine, so far! The prices are much better (they don’t post closing costs on their site but I called asking about that and they gave me an answer right away about the listing I was inquiring about.

Fidelity was OK for me. My experience took a bit longer than people using other companies. Communication was So-So - not as bad as others have experienced, but not awesome. Would do it again for the deal I got.

You can pick your title company as buyer. I used Mason, which I thought was a great choice. IIRC, the costs were within a few bucks of the other choices.

I would use Fidelity/Mason again.

My experiences have been fine. Really no different than other resale brokers and actually the agents more friendly than one or two others I've experienced. The title company has been the slow point on a couple of occasions. I considering following up any online offer with a call will yield the best results with Fidelity as well as with most of the brokers.

In the fall/winter we purchased a small contract from Fidelity and, as many of the others have mentioned, communication was so-so at best and certainly frustrating at times. Also, there was a discrepancy with our contract (the points were not allocated as described in the listing). We didnt find out about the error until after the transaction closed and the points were loaded into our account. Trying to get that error resolved/addressed was a complete communications nightmare but after about 2 months we finally came to a resolution on the error.

Agree that the contract/deal is really the most important part but go into it knowing that communication is not Fidelity's strong suit and be sure to review the contract thoroughly and make sure everything is 100% crystal clear.

I just returned my paperwork to Disneyresalemarketplace and they too use Mason. Buyer accepted the offer on Thursday and electronic docs arrived yesterday.
Based on my anecdotal analysis of maybe 12 contracts from 5 different brokers, Fidelity was typically the most expensive. Of course, that's just the starting point but countering with a 13% lower offer to compete with the others seemed embarrassing.

I have had a good experience so far. I appreciate that they don't play games with you when you make an offer. They confirm the offer and then let you know the result without trying to get you to offer more like others I dealt with. I have been working with Shawn and she's been good so far. Still waiting to close, but that is an issue with the seller not returning their notarized docs.

Yes, just the asking. I'm not doubting that you found it higher at the time you looked but historically they are not and I haven't found that to be the case. And they also have been willing to present lower offers. There's a few other brokers that push back at that.

I also think that after our 1st resale I didn't require nor expect much communication from brokers once past the negotiations. Once the deal is done and things submitted it's in the title companies hand and DVC.

Historically Fidelity were the cheapest but yes they seem to have shifted in the market to one of the higher listers in the last 12 months.
For information my purchase was in Oct 2019

I found that www.dvcsales.com wouldn’t even present some of my low offers, I won’t use them again.

I just had a deal that was ROFR using fidelity and I had no communications problems they were a bit slow getting the contract executed by both parties as the esign process was giving them problems. I’d definitely use them if they had the right contract at the right price.

I find they are typically way lower than other brokers and I have bought/sold through most of the major brokers though it is a painful process for most contracts. I'm waiting to close on a contract that was $31 less PP even considering their $195 "fee" than the typical sponsor's price.

What resort are you looking at?

We used Fidelity / First American to purchase a resale the end of August of 2020. I didn't have any communication problems with either. Everything moved along well. It was just a very slow process because Disney was taking forever with ROFR but Fidelity warned us about that at the beginning of the process. I would definitely use them again.

I have also had a good experience with my first purchase through Fidelity, but from reading this board, they do seem to be hit or miss. But my interactions with the agent Bonnie and the escrow agent at First American, Amy, were timely and helpful. And like someone else said, they don't play games with the offers - it was a very quick process for them to present the offer to their buyer and confirm. I would definitely use them again as well.

I signed a 25 point contract for Old Key West through Fidelty. I hesitated at first because I had seen some bad reviews, but I couldn't pass the price up. My agent is Shawn Ray, has been amazing and responsive. She counter offered on a Saturday. The contract was emailed the day I accepted the counter offer. That was yesterday. I'm still waiting for it to be sent to ROFR. I'm wondering if they will send me an email when it goes or if I will have to follow up until I get an answer. The title company, First American, has changed my credit card.

Thank you for all yoru feedback. They contract was loaded, so I'm anxious to get my points!
