I really like your attitude!!

I need some help though. I have chostrochndritis (sp) and it has been acting up a lot lately, but this week has been very unusual. DS is sick. Today is day 5 with a fever and this is the longest he has ever had a fever. I have spent every 3-4 hours piggy-backing meds to keep it down. Today we decided to try and sweat it out. So as you can see, I haven't slept much and my nerves are totally shot.
For the last two nights, and now a few moments ago, I get a spasm, grip, pain, not sure how to explain in on my right side in the rib/lung area. I tense and feel like I am not breathing. It SCARES me. I used the spigometer (the thing you blow into to see if your lungs are working) and it is well within normal range, so I don't think it is my lungs. My ribs are sore, but I haven't been doing anything good for myself this week. I am not coughing. Ice helps a bit. Does anyone get this and how do you get over being scared. I just took a few tranquilizers to hopefully help and I am getting out some ice to reduce what may be swelling. I am also going to take a tummy pill incase it is gas...
It's just been a really long week and I am totally in the pits. DS missed all week of school, so that is bad. My cousin (50) is dying in the hospital (today will most likely be her last day) She was a huge alcoholic, and I am not surprised, but very sad she is leaving a young son (18). My daughter is away at college and has been very selfish with wanting the car when I can't possibly let her knowing all that is going on. My Mom's mad because I won't go to the hospital, I can't, DS is scared since he has never been this sick, and honestly, I haven't done a Darn thing all week except cater to my son because I am scared of what may be wrong with him.
Sorry to do this to all of you, but I had to get it out. I need to get back to breathing normal, stop the silly tears, and maybe get something done around the house. I have already decided that making dinner is out of the question, but I have made food all week for everyone, especially good stuff for DS to help build back up his resistance.
Has anyone had the grip in the lung/ribcage area.
Has anyone had a child with a 101-102 fever for 5 days with a cough, is it okay?
Can anyone send me a hug, I really could use one....
Thanks for letting me ramble, get this out, and for being here for me. And for understanding that I didn't even consider helping any of you today. Very sorry, Diane.
