Sorry for the long description I booked our October car using FF miles from AA. Since I didn't have enough miles to cover the entire rental we had to pay some out of pocket. On my reservation form it says taxes and fees not included. My receipt does not differentiate how many days the miles cover the car and how many days we are paying for.

Anyone have any idea how much we may pay in taxes and fees? We have a full size rental for 9 days. I'm not sure if we pay the taxes and fees on what the full cost would have been without the ff miles or any discounts? That looks to be ~$110 without any discounts. $88 with a discount. I called Budget and the lady on the phone tried her best but said without checking us in for the rental(and making the October one void), she couldn't help us as it wasn't clear.

I have never used this option as we like to get the collision damage waiver when using our credit card, bu there is a discussion about it on flyertalk. Bottom line, the charge seems to be fairly similar to what you would pay in taxes and fees when renting from the company without using any discounts or codes for the same days. When I look up 10/9- 10/18 on the Budget website, you would pay about $150 in taxes on a full size rented from Budget at MCO. Best of luck -- Suzanne

Thanks. We used our credit card to pay some so we have the waiver as well. We are doing Budget from Tampa, so luckily it's a little cheaper than MCO.

You should check with your CC company. Most require that the entire value be paid with the CC. But you could still be okay (other than the deductible) if you have good personal coverage. -- Suzanne
