Sorry if this is in the wrong place but I figured this was the best place to post this because people on here would appreciate it :thumbsup2 (plus I always get myself into trouble on the community board but it's like Main Street bakery ice cream cookie sandwiches I just can't resist lol)....I am sure everyone has already seen this as it is a report form yesterday but figured I'd share just in case.... :goodvibes

Thanks for posting that article. To me, this was inevitable; at a certain point, Disney will go back to the Disney of yester-year, where discounts were FEW and far between.

I would bet they'll still do the discounts and events that are very popular (just do them not all together and not as often), but I think the days of discounts abounding are gone at Disney.

I don't think the recession is anywhere near over. It will not improve until people start getting their jobs back and unemployment goes back down to normal levels.

Until then, Disney will need to continue to make special offers to get people to visit their parks.

If I can't get some sort of discount for next years trip I may cancel and look
elsewhere for a different vacation. I had to cancel this years trip because
of the economy and my business profits have dropped so much.
This news is so disappointing.

I've just booked 2 weeks at Saratoga Springs for August, with a 47% discount on the room AND free dining, so discounts are still out there :)

:goodvibes
