Few thoughts about Frozen Ever After

I'm chilling in the hotel after my lonnnnng day at Epcot, and had some thoughts to share!

I rode FEA with a fastpass at 3:55pm and was on within 5 minutes. I absolutely LOVED the ride. My whole family did. We thought the picture at the end was pretty neat lol, goes straight on your magic band.

We had nothing to do before our dinner ADR and we loved it sooooo much, so we decided to do standby around 5. They said it was a 75 minute wait, but it was only about 35 minutes. So definitely don't let a long line deter you. The queue is very nice and air conditioned. I liked the sauna guy a lot.

From my knowledge, it wasn't down at all today. Maybe it was, but I know for a fact it was running great this morning and this afternoon til' close.

We also did the sommerhaus and that was really neat inside. Only a 15 min wait for us. I know some people are bummed about the sisters meeting seperately, but they are a lot closer together than when in Magic Kingdom. They interacted with eachother and us while we visited and that's a first for me!

Sounds VERY encouraging that the standby line was down to 35 minutes, and only 5 with FP+ I was a bit worried when I heard about 5 hour waits with FP. No way I'd stand in line that long for any ride, but 35 minutes on standby is completely doable, and I would be thrilled to get on in 5 minutes with FP+

Yeah, I was actually worried about my FP as well. Especially hearing all the horror stories of the first week it was opened. I think they're starting to find their groove and working out all the opening day kinks. I loved it :)

We were slightly outside when we started the standby, and much much shorter than the wait time posted. If I recall, other people have noted that as well. Enjoy your trip! :)

Thanks!! So glad you had a great experience with FEA. We are going in August and are really looking forward to it!!

Very good to hear, can't wait to give it a go myself. I enjoyed Maelstrom, but the video I've seen from FEA looks amazing. Our trip can't come soon enough! Thank you!

It was down yesterday for hours from 6pm on.

I like what I'm hearing! Now I can be semi-optimistic for our trip for next month! I would also love to see the picture at the end, I had no idea it had a picture!

I'll be sure to upload our pics after our trip for ya :) Glad to spread some optimism!

For people asking, I rode the ride about 6pm. Absolutely horrible scary thunderstorm from 6:30-7ish. Checked periodically, it was still running. Wait was 75 min when we left at 830 (comtemplated waiting but we were pooped!)

When I checked around 6:30 - 7, a lot of rides were down. I checked, and there was a terrible storm at that time. I couldn't understand it being down either, but I figured since it was a water ride...the ride in Mexico was reported down as well.

Yup! We were hiding in the American Adventure. You'd be putting your life on the line walking to FEA in that storm ;)

Here's hoping it's on it's way to functioning at it's fullest capacity :)

Incorrect. I got off the ride at 6:10 (photopass stamped at 6:08) I watched wait times til' close and it was open whenever I checked (maybe once or twice an hour)
Well, we had a 6:15-7:15 FP and it was down when we arrived around 6:40 and remained down the other 3 times we checked until close. Have no idea why someone has to battle someone sharing their experience

Test track, three amigos and frozen were all down for hours last night, as a matter of fact.

And, correct, seemed to come during large storm

My own thoughts about this ride being misplaced aside, I will say that it's nice that so many seem to like it. I wouldn't use my only FP+ for it but that is also partially because it's such a short ride. It's still good that something nice was built.

It was an incredible feat of imagineering and art. You'd be missing out if you skipped it. There are fast, exciting rides and then there are marvels like this one.

Marvels like this one are what makes Disney World so magical and sets it apart. I've always said it's more of an experience than a thrill ride, though over the years they have added some. Every amusement park has roller coasters and thrill rides, but they're not Disney. Disney just needs to keep up with the ever changing technology and do it well.
