Few things I've noticed.....here now!

I just got back Monday from 5 days at the resort. I had a 5 day hopper and on the first day had to sign it the every day and at each park I had to show the ticket and my id. And for EMH also had to show my room key!

One morning the lady in front of us didn't have her id. They had to call a lead over to do something and told her they would let her in, but in order for her to get in at the other park or the next day she would have to have her id. They made some kind of note somewhere. They weren't messing around!

They also had CM's out where people line up repeating over and over that if you had a multi-day ticket you had to have your id as well. They were really trying to get the message across!!!

I always keep my passport in the room safe (if there is one) and take my drivers license with me to DL.

As I have a AP, I don't have to show ID to get into the gates, but when I buy merchandise (not food) I have to show picture ID to get my discount.

Does anyone know if they are doing this at the monorail entrance as well? My guess would be yes, but I thought I would ask since I am staying at the DLH with 4 non AP holders would will have 5 day park hoppers.

When I was speaking to your name being on the card, I was referring to your room key if staying on site. I believe that any other document with your name on it should suffice. A credit card, room key, etc. If you have anything else with your name on it, that should be enough. It is Disneyland, not the pentagon.

Interestingly, on our 3rd day at the park the ticket taker never looked at our IDs when she scanned our tickets. Every other time (and upon all readmissions) they checked our IDs. They also had CMs walking up and down the entrance line reminding people to have their IDs out and ready, and offering clipboards for those who needed to sign their tickets.

Once while first in line to get in, I spoke with the CM about the times they had all the 4/5 day passes go to certain lines and she said since it was a new system they used those two lines to get the system down and then implemented it in all the lines.

Not trying to be rude here, but some people get way bent out of shape about what other people are doing. Seriously, the lady didn't have her ID, and who's business is it but her own why she didn't. While i agree that everyone SHOULD have ID, none of you can control what another person, a stranger, does. Worry about what you're doing and carry your ID. You are NOT the enforcers of "carrying ID's". I think if everyone worried about themselves and not what other people are doing, this world would be a much happier place, unless of course, you're at DL, then it's HAPPY, period. :)

I get what your saying and your right it is no ones business. But the part about people only worrying about themselves is often the cause of big problems. Yes there are times when that is what you should do but I believe you need to pay attention to everything that is going on around you and if something wrong is happening then you have an obligation to step in in some manner (whether it be call for help, or step in yourself depending on the situation and whether its safe). I dont agree that its none of your business if something bad is happening to another person while you are around.

Im sure you didnt mean that but when you say it the way you did it can come accross that way to someone reading on a computer.

DLR does do room keys with names on them. At least not when I stayed at the GCH or PPH. And again, a credit card is not ID, it is not proof of who you are. That's what Disney is looking for so they can get rid of fraudulent ticket sales and use.
