Hi Everyone!

I've been looking at these boards for a while and I'm come up with a lot of answers for common question and some not so common questions. But now it seems as though its my turn to ask a few since I can't find the answers...

I'm going to experience Disneyland during the Christmas season for this year for the first time ever :woohoo: . I consider myself to be a Disneyland vet but have never been during the holidays... My first question is, I've heard some "rumors" that in WDW you can decorate your hotel rooms with some holiday decor...can you do that at the DLR as well? I was thinking about sewing some stockings and putting them in the room as well as a small tree.

My second question is, What rides usually close during rainy weather. I know that Alice and the tea cups do, but what other rides close? I'm not expecting any rain while we are there but in case it happens.

That leads to my next question, my nephew(s) will be 2 and the youngest will 4 months. The two year old is ready to go on the rides, the ones he can ride anyway...but the youngest won't quiet be sitting up by himself, so we were thinking about taking a snuggly-pac to carry him around in...what rides will he be able to ride in the snuggly pac, if any?

Thanks for all the help!

We've ridden most of the rides in the rain, and the bonus is that the crowds are really low those days. DL sells cheap umbrellas and ponchos (under $10) at the registers in the shops when it rains. The one thing I wish we'd done was bring extra shoes.

BTW... you will love DL at the holidays! :santa:

Our youngest went to DL at 3 months. We used a baby front back the most. I remember someone posting which rides were okay with that on the thread with a name similar to "Bringing a baby to Disneyland." I know there were several, but someone listed them on that thread.

Thanks for your help VanMom...i'm excited to see Disneyland during Christmas. And I'll be sure to look for that post about the baby carrier!

Since you're staying at DLR, if you want to pay them for a tree, contact the hotel or search here for the number for Vacation Planning.

Oh OK fine I can't make you look, so I looked in my saved emails. The Vacation Planning Team

Anyway, they should have a list of holiday decorations (little trees) that they can sell ya, if that's what you want.

You can decorate yourself if you want to, I'm sure! :)

We didn't go when DS was that little, but he was allowed to stay in the mei tai (traditional Chinese baby carrier) on many rides. Only Autopia insisted he sit on the seat (after 1 year old), and since he wouldn't, we couldn't go. I assume he could have been on my lap if he were under 1 (though I'm not sure I'd go with him at 4 months b/c the steering can be jerky), but I don't *know*.

I don't believe any rides close in the rain.

Alice and Tea Cups close since the ride or parts of rise are outdoors. hmmm, not sure about Dumbo, Astro Orbiter or Storybook canal boats.

Matterhorn may close if it's really pouring. They will wet vac the bobsleds in between downpours, prepare for a wild wet ride with a very wet backside :lmao:
