1. Pools at hotels (on site) - Are they open of an evening? I.E Coming back around 7-8pm, fancying a swim? Is this possible? If so is it busy?

2. Taxi the best way to get to Universal from Onsite disney Hotels? Hopefully going to watch TNA wrestling at universal one night.

3. Someone said its kinda difficult spending time on I Drive if staying on site, one evening we would like to just walk around I Drive, maybe get some food, shopping. This an easy thing to do transport wise?

in answer to your pools question, disney pools are open till midnight, with lifeguards till 10pm

Not sure about getting to/from universal but i'd guess that taxi is best.

I-Drive....you could do it if you chose a section that you particularly wanted to do....it's really quite spread out but there if there were particular shops/restaurants that you wanted then I don't see why you couldn't get a taxi either way and just stroll round a bit. I know for a fact that when we go next year I fully intend to get out to Olive Garden and Red Lobster at least once.

Hi

We always visit Universal from onsite Disney - we get a taxi - in fact we booked with the same guy who did our tranfers from the airport - but main desk at your hotel will have info. When we did it, it worked out about $25, which was cool.

You can go to ticket and transportation centre - using disney bus - and get local buses from there - that's how we did seaworld and it was really easy and cheap - but not sure if you can do the other end of i drive for universal.

Whatever happens - you can be confident knowing that there are loads of options when you get there. Have a great trip!

I-Drive is very long and upto 6 lanes wide! Trust me, it's easier and a lot safer to use a car to go between shops, especially if they're on opposite sides of the road!

You can get the Lynx bus no. 50 from the TTC to Seaworld and then use the I-Ride Trolly to get up and down I-Drive.
But as AndRu says, it's a very long road and crossing it can be very difficult, despite the pedestrian crossings (because cars can turn on a red light you never know if one is going to come out of a side road as you cross!).

Unless you want to visit a certain restaurant or attraction on I-Drive I can't really see why you would want to 'spend time' there :)
Although there are sidewalks, the car is king and you would need to walk quite a few blocks to see a good selection of quality shops or restaurants.

For shopping I would head to the Florida Mall or other designer outlet malls.

Mears do pre-booked shuttles to Universal/IOA etc:
