I was wondering what transfer fees Disney charges when one sells DVC to another party?

Also, has anyone ever used Timeshare Transfers to handle a closing? They seem very reasonable.

And finally, we wonder if anyone has any idea where Disney has been exercising ROFR lately? We have limited points available until 12/05 when the next new batch comes in.....I think this will affect our asking price to some degree (and where Disney would exercise ROFR?....Correct?

Thanks guys...you have been a wealth of information so far!

As of 12/16, DVC doubled their transfer fee from $100 to $200. Luckily, ours passes ROFR on the 15th.

We're using TT for the closing. I wish they were a little faster, but then again, they were preparing the Deed during Christmas week. With TT, you have to do more of the leg work yourself, like drawing up the contract and submitting it to DVC for ROFR.

Those with banked points do seem to sell for a little more and are snatched up more quickly than others.

ROFR is different for every resort..........I have a family member who works for DVC..........right now at SSR if it goes below 75 they will buy it back..........right now there is so demand for the older properties that they have selective bought back alot at BCV and VWL and now are starting to buy more of BW again. The threshold for these resorts is close to 70-72 right now but that changes quarterly based upon their business. HH and VB is 63-65 but ROFR there seems not to be very active for awhile............hope that helps.
