Few firsts, friends & H. P. an Oct. TR - New 3/4 - THE END...

Scott, finally made it over!! I love that you put so many pics up on your trip reports!
We saw FOW on my very first trip in 2000, but haven't seen it since. I love seeing bald eagles in person, they're so gorgeous! Sorry Vinny didn't have the best time, but glad to see he stuck it out for you :) Tell him I'm proud of him lol

Can't wait for more! popcorn:: <--- except I'm eating cheez-its, not popcorn!

HEATHER!!!! :yay: Haven't seen you around here in a while. And with another baby!! Hope y'all are all doing okay.

Thanks for the Disney Store pictures. Even though you said it wasn't good, the pics are good! Wish we still had a Disney store in our area, but that's gone.:sad2:

I've only seen the FOW once.....I think that's enough! :rotfl:

Hope you're feeling better!! :thumbsup2

I'm in! Great trip report!

We loved FOW, but couldn't imagine getting my grandmother in there- she is terrified of birds as well :).
:welcome:
Thank you.
I was surprised as to why he went and by mid week you will all learn why. There is a reason.

Okay, I would have been laughing about Vinny gasping over the birds. I take it, he is not a fan of "The Birds"? Poor guy -- of course, I am with MeMom -- closed in spaces creep me out, and people probably just shake their heads about that. We have never done Flights of Wonder -- I really must make a point of doing it sometime.
I certainly was. :rotfl2:
It was a cute show to see.

Hello, how have you been? So glad you stopped by. I have to, I only took about a third of what I usually do. :lmao:
The eagle was gorgeous. I will tell him.
cheez popcorn it is all the same. :lmao:
Glad to see you.

Poor Vinny! But he was brave sitting through the show with all of those birds :rotfl:
he was that. brave little soldier. :lmao:

We were spoiled before that is why. Just seems like a step down.
:lmao: not sure when I will see it again.
Thanks. I am but I talk to the surgeon this week. Don't want this pain again.

After the bird show we walked. We thought about going on Kali but didn't really want to get wet and then be wet all day so Vinny said let's eat. Um ok. Where?

Well we were in Asia so we figured we would eat at
Disney2010202.jpg

Yep we decided to eat at Yak & Yeti again. It was exactly noon so only 2 1/2 hours passed from breakfast (I hate deluxe dining) So Vinny goes to the podium to see if they can take a walk in. She said they 100% can. Ok then. We are given a buzzer and told to sit.
Literally 10 seconds later it buzzes. Um ok. We are then taken to our table. If you have been to the restaurant you know you enter and as you walk in the bathrooms are to the right and the staircase is in the middle, we were seated at the table right next to the beginning of the staircase.

I look over the menu and my drink choice was the Yak Attack.

I love this drink. So delicious.
on deluxe you get an appetizer, entree and dessert. I chose to have wonton soup for appetizer.
Disney2010206.jpg

This was delicious and the dried noodles they give u were incredible.

Vinny had the Seared Ahi Tuna.
Disney2010207.jpg

He thought this was very good.

For my entree I had the Kobe Burger. I have never had Kobe before and all I can say was WOW. This was incredible.
Disney2010208.jpg

I believe Vinny had the shrimp tempura. I know he enjoyed it very much.
Disney2010209.jpg

For desserts I had the Fried Wontons. At this point I was so full I had 1 or 2 and that was it.
Disney2010210.jpg

Vinny had the sorbet which gives you 3 different flavors to try. He did not care for this. Sorry no pic.

I have no idea what the total would have been as I cannot find the receipt. If I do I will post it.

After our great lunch we decided to walk, I had a purpose.

So where do we end up? That is next. This day is almost over already and you will see why next.

Up next...

What did I have to see?

Okay, I have to confess my ignorance. What is Kobe exactly?

Beautiful shots with Everest in the background.

Uh-oh, what happened??? Did someone get sick? :(

I  Yak & Yeti!!! Everytime we eat there I over stuff myself and then it takes me a while to get back into the swing of walking around. :rotfl2:

Uh-oh.....I wonder what happened to make the day end early!! Hope everything was okay. :surfweb: Can't wait to see what you had to see!

The day is over:rolleyes1, what happened doesn't look like rain.

We seriously were going to drive to NYC for New Years Eve, but our dd is working border patrol in (can't say where, or she will shoot me). So we are all visiting her Christmas week. Some day, but I'd rather be warm that freezing cold.

If you ever need a tour guide....just sayin. :)

me too.
I will have to let you know. Been having medical issues and not sure if I will be well enough to go.

No problem! I'd love to see you if you can make it, but im gonna try and make it every couple of months soon so you can always make the next one!

From wikipedia:
Kobe beef (神戸ビーフ, Kōbe Bīfu?) refers to cuts of beef from the black Tajima-ushi breed of Wagyu cattle, raised according to strict tradition in Hyōgo Prefecture, Japan. The meat is generally considered to be a delicacy, renowned for its flavour, tenderness, and fatty, well-marbled texture. Kobe beef can be prepared as steak, sukiyaki, shabu shabu, sashimi, teppanyaki and more.

I havn't tried it myself, sounds wonderful! I need to pop in to Yak n Yetti and try it sometime. :thumbsup2

After our walk past Everest we came upon.
Disney2010214.jpg

I have never seen this show and it was a must for me this time. The show was letting in so we got in line.

Cute little signs along the walkway

The bubbles were cute with Nemo swimming through, but did not get him.

I loved this show. I do like the Lion King a little better but this was a great show and I will definitely catch it again.
After the show we walked around.

Disney2010235.jpg

Soon we were walking into
Disney2010236.jpg

of course when u go here you have to see some bugs. We did just that.
Disney2010237.jpg

Walking along the path.
Disney2010238.jpg

After we saw the bugs we walked through a couple of shops and then headed out. We went back to the resort and Vinny took a nap and I watched Stacy.

Up next...

Dinner at a canceled restaurant from last trip.

Great pictures and video from Finding Nemo! One day we will see that show!

I don't think I will ever convince my family to do It's Tough to be a Bug -- that was a traumatic experience for them.

We sat right there in that same section this summer. All of my pictures were zoomed in, but had I taken a picture from our seat of the full stage, it would have looked just like that.

I like the show, too. It's so colorful, and I love watching Brooklynn's face as she follows along, because she is totally into it. We have the CD, so she knows every word of the whole musical.

The Kobe burger and fries look good. We haven't eaten at Yak & Yeti, although I have had the counter service part of it before. The main reason is the 'different' kind of food that doesn't appeal to everyone in the group. If everyone knows a good burger is an option if they can't find something they like, maybe they'll be more willing to give it a try.
