Fever Blister on my tonsil!

OWWWWW!

Ever since I was little, I got fever blisters on my lips and in my mouth. In the last few years, I rarely get them on my lips. They have moved to my EYELIDS and now my tonsils.

YUCK.

Does this happen to anyone else? When I got them on my lips, I had some warning signs. Now nothing.

Ooh, I bet that hurts. I used to get them in my mouth all the time, but haven't in a while now. I had better knock on wood!

I still think I'm one of those rare people that get fever blisters inside their mouths. It's pretty small and is a blister right now, not a red swelling. When I've had them in my mouth before they ususally healed fairly quickly, never anywhere near two weeks.

It must be worse to have a canker sore, I'm sure!

Oh, I don't doubt that you get fever blisters on your tonsils. I know that any one who gets fever blisters know what they feel like. That stinging burn is unmistakable. Cankers don't feel like that, they feel like an ulcer or a severe burn. They take a much longer time to heal (at least for me) and they don't crust over. It is just a giant crater (or hole) in the mouth. My glands usually swell when I get cankers but not fever blisters.

If I got fever blisters on my eyelid I might consider taking the oral medication for fever blisters. Fever blister can actually infect the eyes and can cause blindness.

Ick ick ick ick!!!
I have a LOT of sympathy for you, as I got chicken pox in my late 20s, and I got the blisters in my throat. Eating was sheer torture

Actually when I get them on my eyelid, I have an antibiotic salve that I have to put on to keep them from becoming infected. It's basically too late to take the anti-viral meds, at least for them to do any good.
