Just got my docs (yea!) and the enclosed gift catalog had some really neat things for decorating the room/door (this cruise is for our 10th ann.) but, frankly, the prices are a little scary for me. Are we allowed to bring our own stuff and decorate our own door or is this frowned upon by the management? There is some really cute stuff at Party City for a fraction of Disney's cost.

Yes, you can bring your own stuff. However, it can't obstruct the doorway, hallway, etc. Many people bring a picture to put on their door to help small children identify the right cabin. others put up celebration decorations.

Remember that the cabin door is metal, and thus magnetic. I meant to do something for our door, but time just got away from me and I didn't.

My six year old made LOTS of crafts in the Oceaneer's Club, and they all had a magnet on the back. So the inside of our door was beautiful!

I made magnets for our door & one of them was stolen  It was a big picture of the characters ~including Daisy, her favorite. Luckily, she thought Mickey needed it for another kid's door (she thought Mickey put the magnets on the door for her birthday) so she wasn't too upset.

That really stinks. You just have to wonder about people who think it's either OK or fun to take away fun from others.

Thanks for the help everyone. I went to party city today and got a "happy anniversary" banner and then created my own that says 10 Years. I got some mickey stickers to decorate them with, just so they would have that Disney touch (and some magnets to stick on back). I would hope that no one would steal them, but if they do at least I have the consolation that the whole project only cost about $8 instead of the $39 disney charges!
