I was wondering if anyone had any advice on how far in advance of the 3pm parade we should stake out a spot on Thanksgiving Weekend (Specifically Saturday the 29th)? Also, any recommendations on a good viewing spot? I read some advice saying you only need to go 15 minutes in advance but I don't know if Thanksgiving weekend is an exception.

When we were there over Halloween, we were at MK on Sat and people started to sit on the curbs along Main Street around 2:00. Since this would be our first and only time seeing the parade we decided to claim a spot on the curb as well. I think if you wanted to watch in Frontierland, you probably wouldn't have to get a spot quite so early - maybe 30 minutes to be safe. It was definitely worth the wait - we really enjoyed it.

It is a really good parade! We Watched in Frontier Land too, and it was a great way to spend less time waiting. I will say that it was HOT, so if you want to score a spot in the shade, get there earlier rather than later.

Thank you :goodvibes

We don't want to wait too long so definitely we'll find a spot in frontier land half an hour in advance. Wish us luck!

Queston....

I am going there this same week and I have a FP for the parade... if people start staking out at 2pm is this going to hinder our ability to get to the FP view area? We have a 120pm FP on peter pan.... I can loose the peter pan one if its going to be crazy trying to get to the view area... (23rd is the date i am talking about btw)

Thanks :goodvibes

You have until 3:00 to get to the reserved FP area. You'll have plenty of time to walk from Fantasyland to the FP area.

Thats what i thought when I made the FP, but just was worried about how thick the crowds got how early... But should be ok... doesn't look like that far of a walk from peter pan to the viewing area

Does anyone remember which side of mainstreet you'd need to be on to see the Frozen float? Better to sit on the side with Casey's and the Emporium, or better to sit on the opposite side? And, if you are in the Frontierland area, which side should you sit on - the side with the Liberty Tree restaurant, or the other side? TIA!

Anna and Elsa are on a rotating platform. It won't matter where you are standing as long as you keep watching the rotating area at the back of the float. Tiana and Naveen are on the side opposite of Anna and Elsa... so keep watching as they rotate around.
