Hi all!
Lion King is a must for us when we visit next month (My enthusiasm regularly embarresses DS! DH just 'smiles and nods!').
Awhile ago I thought I heard some tips about sitting in the front row-arriving early, or maybe it was late? (because they wait to seat you??)
Could other LKing fans offer some advice? Thanks!

I know the last time I was there, the people sitting in the front row were asked to participate in some things before the actual show started. Don't know if they still do that or not.

The last couple of times that I have gone to the FLK the front row seats have been the last seats to fill up. Most people go to the top rows first. I prefer the top rows because some of the action takes place up on platforms and your more level with the action if you sit higher up. Anywhere that you sit in the stadium has a good view but I prefer the top.

We were there in February. We sat on the end of the first riser. There are also 2 or three rows of seating on the floor. The 9 year old that was with us was asked to participate with an instrument but she declined. Try sitting on an end if you would like to be a part of the show. Also, wave your hands so they know your interested.

When we were there in January, I think I remember that they reserved the front rows, or at least a part of them, for disabled guests and their families.

Getting there early can help. If you have children and you want to have a better chance of having them picked sit on the farthest left side (if you are facing the section) near the front. If you sit on the right side you will be close to the float from the section next to you and won't be as likely to be chosen (unless you are in the front couple of rows).

They reserve a lot of the front rows for disabled park goers and their guests.

You wait in three lines in the que, and they let them in at the same time; however, each line gets directed to a different section (bleachers) of the theater (Elephant, Lion, Giraffe and Wart Hog).

At the beginning of the show the singers pick one person out of each section to act as a cheerleader, and they spend a short amount of time in the show.

At the end of the show, they invite people to participate in a parade. Agree with Samirella, In the elephant section where I sat, one of the singers went up to the steps on the left hand side of the bleachers to look for volunteers (that is on the left hand side as your back side faces the stage).

Finally all seats are good. Surprised at how intimate the venue was.

I agree with everyone's comments. Any seat is a good one in this theatre. I do recommend getting there early though, to make sure you get a seat and won't get stuck in standing room only space. I will say that this is my MOST favorite show in all of Disneyworld!!! You will just love it to pieces. The music stays with you the rest of the day (we got the CD in the hotel gift shop that night, it is identical to the show and is awesome to listen to). I always say that if my family would let me see every single show in a day, I would do it. It is that good. Enjoy and hakuna matata!!!!:D

I agree. This is a wonderful show, and now that the theater is fully enclosed, it's a good spot to beat the heat. :D

For front row seats- yest, you want to get there early. Yes, some of those front rows are reserved for people traveling with wheelchairs, but each section has a little bench in the very front that is up for grabs. The Giraffe section (to your immediate right when entering through the main doors) is mostly roped off. Three minutes before the show starts, they start sending people up another path that leads to the Giraffe section. The 4:30 show which is right after the parade, everything but the floor rows of that section is roped off, so if you come right before show time, it's still possible to end up right up front.

Oh, and when you enter through the main doors, you will be asked to fill the far sections first. Getting the front seats is often the luck of the draw. Of course, if you are one of the first to arrive, you do get first pick.
