We have FP for the parade for this Saturday (of Thanksgiving weekend, eek!). What time should we arrive at the FP area to make sure we have a good view?

Thanks!

We had a FOF FP this week and arrived 30 minutes before the parade kicked off. We got to sit right up front. We had a FP for Main Street Electrical parade yesterday and arrived 30 minutes early. It was a heavier crowd day so there were no more front row spots ar 30 minutes out. We still had a good view though. It is a great use of a FP.

With it being more crowded, I'd show up at least 30 mins before if you want curbside seats

It depends on who "we" is and what you consider "good".

If it is adults and/or taller kids (teenagers, etc), you can arrive as late as 3:05 and be able to stand almost anywhere and see the parade perfectly fine. Usually, the curb is filled with smaller kids, strollers, etc and their parents standing behind or next to them.

If you want curb seats, I would say arrive even prior to the 2:45 FP+ time. Last week they were letting people in earlier than that (http://www.easywdw.com/uncategorized/polynesian-dvc-construction-move-it-shakes-it-up-walls-pecos-drops-the-taco-salad-festival-of-fantasy-fp-new-waffles-111414/).

"The FP+ return time for the Parade is 2:45pm to 3:05pm, but the area is already open here at 2:30pm."

This is what it looks like as the parade is passing. As you can see, adults will have no problems findind a good spot, but kids might disagree.

Thanks for pointing that out. Is the Town Square location more or less desirable? That's what we have and I am now wondering if we should change the FP to something else.

Would depend. If it is for MSEP and you intended on staying put for Celebrate the Magic and Wishes, it might be desirable.

You could always follow the parade up main street and find a spot that way, but it's kinda like a cattle herd.

Thanks for the advice and photos. It is just myself and girlfriend, both adults. I have seen the parade once before (slow period so I just walked up to a curb as it was passing), but she hasn't seen it and I want her to have a wonderful view.

I'll take into account the Thanskgiving crowds and probably arrive a bit before 245pm. Rather wait than be surprised with a huge crowd!
