I have been looking at our plans and on our BBB / Anna & Elsa / CRT day (I know I'm being ambitious trying to get all those!) we have a 'loose' FP. Should I go for FP for the parade do you think? Is it worth it? If it helps, we are hoping to do all this 23/8 - a Sunday - with a late Labor Day the US kids could still be off - probably their last weekend before back to school.

I was trying to use a FP for Wishes but atm I can't seem to fit it into our plans anywhere. Awkward because you tie a FP up for much later in the day so can't get any more! And our non park days, in the eves we have other stuff on. So, I'm thinking should be FP the parade. As the girls will be BBB'd I thought it might be nice?

Thank you as ever for your replies :thumbsup2.

I know there will be those who say it's not worth it but I like Fping the parade as you can get a pretty good spot without having to stake out a place ages in advance.

It's really up to you, if it's important for you to have a good view of the parade and you don't want to have to sit and wait for over an hour for it then FP it.

It's nice to FP for the reasons Joh said and I always FP the parade on our last day however in the middle of summer there is no shade (or very limited shade) in the FP viewing area! In July We all literally has sweat dripping off us by the end of it and we only got there 10 mins in advance!!

I would get a fp for the parade. In fact I did and it just so happens that it is on our Anna and Elsa/ Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique / Cinderella's Royal Table day to! I think it will be cute for my dd to see all the princesses in the parade while she's all dressed up. princess:

Thank you all - it looks like it might be a nice idea on the BBB day then (although we'll need our sunhats and maybe a slushy drink or something to take in with us I think!). I do find that the children get more interaction from the characters on the parade when they are dressed up :goodvibes.

Have you seen a video of the FoF? Unlike some other parades the characters were nearly all on floats :goodvibes

No, I haven't, for obvious reasons I haven't watched any parades or shows on youtube ;). However, I have found that even from floats, characters tend to make a beeline for waving/blowing kisses to children etc. Also, do they not have dancers in between the floats - we've always had great success with interaction from them at DLP - at one point one even invited DD1 to join in and have a little dance :rotfl2:!

I have decided to go for it anyway - it's not like we were desperate to use the FP that day for anything else, so it fits in well :thumbsup2. And, if we are really lucky, we may be able to pick a 4th FP afterwards if necessary - although I am not counting on that in August at all! :headache:

I'd definitely use a FP for it. We did it in October and got the most perfect spot to watch it coming head on, then turning as it heads in front of the castle. Like others have said, there's no shade and it's very hot, but it's worth it for the view. If you head straight to the end of the roped off FP area and stand looking straight towards Liberty Square, you'll get this view.

You're very close up, but you've got a totally unrestricted view of the whole parade. If you turn your head as the dragon nears the castle, you'll also get a perfect view as it breathes fire.

Thanks Sam - I've added it to my list! I LOVE that dragon, but I'm a huge Maleficent fan, so it's not surprising :worship:.
