My family was on the Ferry from MK to TATC and the Ferry crashed head on into the dock! No major injuries in my party just some bumps and bruises.

On top of the Monorails not expected back up tonight!

We are at Ohana they are 30 minutes behind because someone was taken out by an Ambulance!

This the Earthquake and Irene tell me the world is ending!!

Why are the monorails not running? I'm assuming this what you meant in your post.

Just got back with my family!!

Disney deserves to be sued to stupidity!!! No major injuries but the didn't even acknowledge the crash!!!

Not one CM asked people if they were ok!

First time in my lif I want someone to sue Disney!!

Guess it was a crappy day for Disney in the transportation division (someone should get fired)

I think it has become a Disney policy to ignore anything that isn't a 'major make the news issue'. In March my DS fell at AK and tore his knee up pretty bad, not ONE CM asked if they could help. He had blood streaming down his leg. When we finally made it to the front of the park to ask for first aid we were told that we had to go back to the Tree of Life as that is where first aid is located. We weren't offered a bandaid, assistance all the way back to first aid, a napkin, or an "I'm sorry, is he OK?". We walked out of the park with blood pooling in his shoe.

In May the same thing happened to me at DHS. I was tripped while heading into the park and hit the ground hard. My arm hit a garbage can and I also tore my knee up. Not one person(guest) or CM asked if they could even help me up much less anything else. While I can understand the guests not offering to help, but the CM's walking past me as I lay on the ground was irresponsible.

I don't want to gross anyone out, but here is a picture of my knee the next day. The black specks were dirt ground into my leg that I just couldn't get out without it hurting too bad.

I didn't take a picture of my arm which had a huge bruise on the underside from where I hit the garbage can.

I didn't expect any special treatment from Disney, but a band aid for my bleeding son would have been nice, or a "Can I help you up ma'am".
I guess by looking the other way Disney feels as if they are not admitting any responsibility.

Yea, exactly. This is what is happening, and has been happening over the years at WDW. Less and less guest services. The execs aren't going to take any sort of pay cuts, any more than our politicians will, so guess what happens, cuts to guest benefits. And it's only going to get worse.
Possibly in the not so distant future, Disney is going to farm out more and more of it's services. ie: valet parking, more and more non Disney run restaurants, and most recently, the take over of the Disney golf courses to the Arnold Palmer company.
Now, having said that, as we know, Walt Himself farmed out some of the stores on main street when he opened Disneyland, but Walt only did that to get more money to add to his park. Current Disney honchos do not care about the guest experiences, only what goes in their wallets. Sad, really....:guilty:

Totally agree :thumbsup2. Those living in the Ivory Towers are too blind to see that the natives are getting restless and will eventually revolt. Legoland may be a fun place to spend my money ;).

The one thing that Disney do need to concern themselves with IMO does actually involve Legoland. Legoland by itself is no threat to a WDW trip however if you throw in 3 or 4 days at Universal, a day at Sea World and 1 or 2 at Legoland your suddenly taking a full week of vacation without even stepping foot on Disney property.

I don't believe any one of these companies can take on WDW by themselves however if they were to unite and put together a nice vacation package, offer some exclusive transportation between all their parks and price it right, they might just take enough of the market share to make a big difference.

Have you ever noticed that when an Alpha Unit (911 call) arrives the front line CM who spent all the time with the guest and make the call is replaced by Suits and Disney Security.

That is what I mean. There are so many things building up in the Central Florida area the Disney may lose it's first place status.

The reason the Suits show up is because they know exactly what to say and the poor CM might just slip up and tell the truth.

exactly. recently in the uk there have been a lot of companies running competitions to win trips to orlando with tickets NOT for disney, but for universal instead - meaning people will be staying off site, with free tickets to universal. To fill the rest of their trip they can buy cheap sea world etc tickets and not have to go near disneys lock in policies.

If they can do that for competitions, its only a matter of time before the holiday companies start putting packages together - and they'll be a lot cheaper than similar disney packages!
