Fellowship of the fisheye

I simply cannot afford a dedicated fish-eye lens for my Canon 50D. I use the 1.8 50mm prime and 17-85 lenses. Does anyone have any recommendations and a fish eye attachment I could get? I know the quality is not quite on par but it's something for now.

The Samyang (Pro-Optic) 8mm- its like $260 at Adorama- I really like mine so far.

I still have a ways to go in learning this lens, but here are a couple from our trip two weeks ago. I think they aren't too bad for just having got the lens a couple of days before we left!

Is that really a 15-second exposure? Ie, did you actually set up a tripod in the queue?

I have to admit, I've done a few detail shots in there but never considered a fisheye. A good challenge for the west coast crowd would be the same shot in the DCA version - which has a horrendous outside queue but a very good boiler room, with a two-story boiler with a face.

Yes it is a 15 sec exposure. It was a very slow night last Monday night at the Studios and the CM's let me set up my tripod all throughout the queue (even behind the red velvet rope in the lobby and in both libraries). Definitely a magical moment :).

Heheheh... that's hilarious. :) I've never had the guts to try to do a tripod shot in a queue, though there are a few places that I've thought about trying it. (Including some outdoor areas of the ToT queue.)

So let me get this straight...this thread was merged with a 3 year old thread with only one post, thus changing the name?

Wow...pretty lame.
