Fellow DIS'ers..Should I say "Hi"!?

Finally our trip will soon be here & I have "spoken" to so many helpful & friendly people here on the DIS...my question is..if I see you at Disney World & you have on something to I.D. yourself as a DIS'er, would you want to be approached & said hello to? This sounds strange now that I am writing it down but I don't want to intrude on anyone's vacation time if they do not want it & I don't want to say "oh Hi your so-in-so from the DIS" & they look at me like "go away". Has anyone just gone up to someone they thought was from here & just introduced themselves???

We will be at MNSSHP on the 6th also. Staying at POP Ocotber 4-7 and will have lime green Mickeys to identify myself as a Diser. Feel free to say "hi."

I chickened out on my trip. At the CHH at MK there were people next to us in line that had the lime green mickeys (from home depot, I think), which their names on them attached to their clothes or hats. I'm sure they were DIS'ers, but I was to scared to say anything!

It is well known on the boards to wear a lime green Mickey to identify yourself as a DIS'er. I would think if you don't want anyone to say HI, that you wouldn't wear the sticker.
I'll be wearing mine in October, and I would love people to say hi!

We were at Disneyland the first week of August and, by chance, our family of six ended up in a Storybookland Canal boat with another DIS family of six.

None of us were wearing anything that would identify us as DISers. We had both been on the Disneyland board quite a bit prior to our trips, and we recognized each other from descriptions of our families in our posts!

We had a nice visit in our boat and for a couple minutes after the ride was over. It was fun for me to meet a fellow DISer and I hope spending a few minutes with me didn’t ruin their day!

I would LOVE to meet other DISers! I will be wearing my lime green DIS T as a swim coverup at the Pop pool and at BB- also, we will have our lime green Mickey heads attached to our backpack and my lanyard.

Any other DISers foing to MNSSHP on 10/2- I'll be looking for you! I'll say "HI" to anyone I see with lime greem Mickeys!

I would assume if someone went out of their way to wear a lime green Mickey they want to be noticed by other DISers. Why else would you wear it?

We will be going 11/29-12/6, our first trip (5th total) since joining the DIS! We would love to meet some fellow DISers and say HI! It will be great to meet others with the same addiction as us! I will be going to Home Depot to get Lime Green Mickey Heads. I will write my DIS name on them, and I hope someone says hi!

I was there a couple of weeks ago and ran into a woman wearing a disboards t-shirt. Turned out it was BethE(NJ), one of the moderators. I introduced myself to her and we had a nice chat while our kids played in the Honey I Shrunk the Kids Playground at MGM.

I always wear my Tagrel . com name badge at WDW (especially at MouseFest), so if you happen to catch sight of a goofy-looking 6'4" oaf wearing a Batman utility belt and a giant-size camera on a red and black strap, walk right up and say hello.

Of course, I may stare at you with a bewildered look on my face afterward, but don't take that personally; it's just my most common expression.

You can" borrow " them from HomeDepot. They are in the Disney paint section, the lime green mickeys are paint chips. I "borrowed" some the other day. I'll be creating some kind of ID b/f our December trip. If you see me w/ it on, please say ,"hi!"

But you WILL be able to tell who we are when you see 8 people in obnoxious tie dye shirts with Mickey heads on them!
