Cedric (<- see photo at left) was diagnosed on 4/22/11. I am currently giving him 2 units of Lantus 2x daily. Blood Glucose curve I gave him last thursday didn't go great because I think he was upset at bing pricked, which upped his numbers. We increased his dose on Friday night at vet's orders, but I am not seeing a benefit. he goes to the vet on Wednesday to stay while I am away at my sisters college graduation. I have changed his canned food (3oz perday) to Blue Buffalo Wilderness (grain fee high protein & low carbs) and changed his dry to that as well (from Blue Buffalo Spa Select Weight Control). the memebers of the Feline Diabetes Message Board suggest moving to 100% canned food.
